We are cooking at trendin and laying a solid foundation of user acquisition channels. That means, early focus on SEO.

💡 Just published the last SEO roast of 2024 for trendin.so! Getting the SEO foundation right from the start is crucial. I'm covering title tags, site structure, and how they can leverage programmatic SEO for early wins. Essential reading for new sites: seoroast.co/trendin

Everything you need to know about Willow- Google’s quantum computing chip in a single post(and emojis) - Holy f*ck! It’s Impressive. Years of computation in minutes 🤯 - Your Bitcoin is safe (for now) 🙏🏻 - Still very early 🌅 - Google is AGI contender #1 🍾 What did I miss ?

If every job is replaceable, then what’s our core defensible skill? Enter “taste”. It’s hard to even define a “good taste”. You won’t learn it in a course. Yet, a good taste for is one truly human function. It is what sets the trends that others follow. How do you define a “good taste”?

Technically with AGI + Robot form factor , no job is immune from replacement.

I think Bluesky will be a platform of micro niches. Once the growth tricks (like starter packs) start fading out and the platform has its escape velocity, we will see accounts settle here with a smaller , but highly engaged audience.

It looks like the Starter Pack wave is over!

Don’t overthink user acquisition for early stage product. You don’t need millions on day 1, you need a few that will help you improve the product. And you can get those without breaking your bank! #buildinpublic #buildinginpublic #indiedevs

Using QR code marketing for IRL events! Signed up my first 50 customers with a 20$ hoodie and 5$ business cards !

Bluesky currently is the single biggest opportunity to build your personal brand. No matter who you are. 1) Starter packs to get you to your niche in seconds. 2) An active community for most of the niches you can imagine. 3) Engaged audience, which means you will be shouting at the void lesser.

The Jaguar rebrand has been very polarizing and discussed ton. I still haven't made up my mind if its a genius move or a dud. But, it got me thinking about the nth order consequence of self-driving and electrification. It will totally shake up the market. Here is my unstructured thoughts

Tesla showed that all 3 is possible and eventually industry will catch up. But what really makes Tesla the Tesla we know today is it's positioning w.r.t how a car fits into your life. It has now become the iPhone of electric cars. The other brands need to move and find their positioning.

Unfortunately Tesla snagged away the first mover advantage with self driving like Apple did with touchscreens. So now, building a brand beyond the specs of your car is more important than ever. IMO that's the bet Jaguar is taking with their rebrand. What are your thoughts on this ?

Looking for something cost effective - Go Toyota or Honda. Looking for a muscle car ? Go Ford or Dodge. Performance and comfort at higher cost of ownership ? Go BMW or Benz But now, enter the new tech - Robotics, Electric First, Self Driving. The great equalizers.

All brands that survive sooner or later would have 1) optimized their production and support support costs using automation and AI, 2) Leverage electric motors to provide kickass performance. 3) Have all the time, resources and budgets to dedicate towards comforts and luxury elements.

Think of a few traditional car brands.Their slogans, their marketing. You will notice the brands primarily anchor of these themes. - Cost of ownership - Performance - Comfort/Luxury Overtime these created a mental model in every car buyer what their options were based on their criteria.

Communities that are built on common hate for something are generally very toxic. Because once you develop a habit of finding unity in hate, you never know where and when that hate is going to get displaced next. Subconsciously all of us participate in such communities big or small.

More people need to see this !

People: We love BlueSky! We've left twitter! Its amazing! No more outrage baiting! Also people: Look what's happening over on twitter, people are mad! Also people 2: Let me repost what people are saying on twitter on here repeatedly so you can be outraged! Jesus! Just let it go!

Interesting collection of smaller teams doing bigger things.

All the cool kids are doing it, so I made a starter pack, too. This one’s for the founders out there doing more with less. If you’re solo or a small team making big things, I’d love for you to leave a comment so I can add you! go.bsky.app/ChrSqgi

The biggest mistake we do is think of social media as a zero sum game. We rely on social media networks for many different things entertainment, education, wealth building, companionship, community, breaking news. It’s just unrealistic to expect 1 network to each of these really well.

Eddy is curating a good starter park here!

SaaS founders! Are you running a SaaS that is - already launched - bootstrapped - profitable (you have MRR) I made a Bluesky starter pack for people like you. Share your product and MRR and I’ll add you to it! go.bsky.app/cVVBLZ

Sign this pledge! For way too long , we have normalised sell everything and sell everywhere culture online. “Put more “buy” buttons on internet. “ culture. Can we please keep Bluesky out of that madness? Internet needs a place where people just connect without constantly being sold something.

Let's make Bluesky a better place for indie founders. It's a fair criticism that Starter Packs were a great marketing strategy. That once the novelty wears off, Bluesky might go downhill just like Threads. And to prevent that, we need to put effort to nurture the community ↓

You have been lied! Passive income streams is not truly the Nirvana you should be chasing. Your most fulfilling life will need to include an "active" revenue stream. This is what drives indie hackers. Being active in pursuit of something. #buildinpublic #startups

Advices you should ignore while building your company in 2024 - #1 Them : You don't need welcome email series for your product. Reality: It literally takes 1 hour to set up, 1000x RoI. Crazy not to do it. Do you want to learn how to do this for your product using AI ? #buildinpublic
