I quite enjoyed experimenting on this one, a lot more blending than I usually do for a softer look. But it felt very natural and comfortable, I've always liked doing pencil work in real life and it had a similar feel.

friend really wanted me to join a horsetember thing with her and since i was just yapping about not drawing for fun... i'll probably not do all of it but maybe it'll make my juices flow day 1: mustang, so i did picasso i'm kind of a sucker for the romanticizing of animals, sometimes

i have been embarrassingly burnt out on art. i feel like i'm an adult with rent to pay and it's a job, so art block shouldn't be a concern. i had a chance to do some personal/gift work a couple times and it has rekindled some joy* *that's not to say my commission work/commissioners have been bad

that's to say, some sort of 9-to-5 as the americans would call it. i don't have a portfolio for more professional work and my backlog mostly serves to get me more furry commissions (also valid ofc). and i'm not sure adding more art work in queue is going to help, even if it's more motivating work

that's not to shit on furry commissions/commissioners, i really enjoy the community and i've had really fun commissions and amazing commissioners, this is a me issue and about my relationship with not getting to use my art for self-expression and being stuck in a cycle of forcing work to pay bills

in a way i guess i feel like bitching about art block is a privilege and i should just get on with it regardless of how i feel, but it has been very difficult to start and get in the flow of it. kind of just been wanting to look for a "real job" to make sure my bills are paid.
