Guillermo Del Toro dropping another one liner that’s exactly how I feel about AI slop, the “punishment” is built in

I bought a nice looking fold cover for my trusty galaxy s24 ultra, and now I can't draw near the edge of the screen because it has a magnetic clasp there ☹️ seems obvious in retrospect, but also obvious enough to not put the magnet there on a cover for a phone with a stylus 🤷

I was under the (internet provided) impression that exporting as png via atelier on a supernote "forced" raster effects, but it does grayscale fine :O having a gosh darn grand old time with the nomad, candidate for purchase of the year

the one platform I miss after ditching the ones by trump supporting dinguses (ding... dingi?) is still instagram, but every time I reconsider it I see zuckerberg in his dumb gold chain going "girls ew!" I'll be a skeleton before flashes releases for android but it's still my leia message to luke 🙏

I know otherising is bad but I genuinely feel like I'm existentially separate from people who want AI to single-handedly generate the experiences they interact with like I just fundamentally have 0 interest in a work that had no human intent behind it, I can't fathom a more hollow, lonely feeling

Father of PlayStation Ken Kutaragi Says AI Delusions Will Replace Traditional Games www.resetera.com/threads/16...

I love that the casual feeling of the supernote brings out a sillyness I've missed in drawing. Inktober's short window helps too ofc but the ballpoint pen to notepad feel really activates that back of test paper or in the margins doodling of old in a big way

not here to lift something up by putting something else down, but good lord the art style in this game is so insanely good, and I wish the new Fable had even a sliver of this kind of pizazz and character

I feel like the enormous wave of de/recomps are like karmic justice for the increasingly archaic idea that games should be doomed to sink to the bottom of the ocean of time, shackled to a specific plastic box, unless they have enough arbitrary cultural cache to be repackaged and resold to you

of course it's become an AI slop-palooza and you gotta wade through a lot of vibecode attention seeking to get to the good stuff, but it's genuinely the most exciting development in terms of game preservation that I've witnessed
