I've been a bit quiet for a while (and late on my releases) but I've got so many irons in the fire and I'm really excited to share them soon. After not recording anything for all of 2026, I'm returning to podcasting real soon with a new show about RPGs, art, media, and making stuff.
Brazilians recommending not to amplify right-wing talking points by dunking and quoting, as a winning strategy
Next day, my tl is full of people dunking on rfk jr
I literally would not have seen the bigotry if it wasn't for y'all repeating it. That's exactly what the Brazilians were on about!
Oh awesome finally is here! This is the expansion for Beacon I've been talking about quite often that my new campaign is utilizing. I highly recommend checking it out if like Lancer, DND 4e and FFXIV or just the Halloween/Soul Eaters vibes of this expansion. Very fun and crunchy system!
Beacon: Koronil is live on Kickstarter! This Halloween-themed expansion for the Beacon TTRPG features a new setting created by @superdracula.bsky.social and a TON of new game materials and rules like the Kettle Mage class, Reaper variant job, and Arachnid boss.

Sorry for being a little opaque with updates the last few weeks; every time I see other creators get extremely apologetic to their audience for not Posting Enough I always roll my eyes and think it's unnecessary, so I've made it a habit to not digitally prostrate myself or perform sorrow like that.
anyway, please look forward to new artwork, game stuff, and hopefully a funny and interesting internet show from me real soon, and consider supporting my patreon if you believe in the work I do. The support I get every month has already been life changing and it means the world to me. ๐๐

I'm not opposed to bringing people on for future episodes, but it's important to me to keep the format of this thing loose and not bound to a strict release schedule. The show'll be on my youtube channel and all the podcast apps, and I'll release eps early on the Sinland Games patreon (link in bio).
All this is to say that my different creative projects have sorta been a mess this year, and I feel like now that I've recovered from burnout I can consolidate everything I do into one neat little patreon for people to enjoy and support my game design, art, writing, and podcast stuff.

uncertainty about which patreon to point things to, I think now is ideal time for me to start podcasting again, doing new things with youtube visuals and talking more about topics that bring me joy and that the audience I've grown here on bluesky will actually enjoy.
This'll be a new solo show that I'm treating as an 'audio blog', an excuse to turn on my mic and yammer about things instead of writing a shitty tumblr blog or 30 post long bluesky thread. I like talking on mic much more than writing longform blogs, so it is what it is.

(Nevermind that I started SDW as a show to explore my curiosity over online subcultures and the internet in general, and the whole global rise of fascism has made a lot of that subject matter a huge bummer to talk about...)
either way. The status of the show was sorta up in the air for all of this year, and I recently sat down with my cohost Dave to make the indefinite hiatus official and close up shop. Since the show's youtube channel and transistor fm account are solely in my hands now and there's no

Only some of you have probably listened to my old comedy podcast superdespairworld.com (it's fine no hard feelings), but it's sorta been quietly haunting me for most of 2026. Since around this time last year my cohost and I made multiple attempts to shake up the format and do different
promotional things to grow past our somewhat stagnant viewership of 1-200 people, but it all just sorta fizzled out as the time between episodes grew very long and we just kinda hit an indefinite hiatus of 10+ months without anything new to show for it.

I've finally had a bit of a breakthrough and my recent personal work has been much better for it. I'm talking in circles a bit here, but art and illustration are a core part of everything I dabble in online, and recently I've started feeling good about my work and my ability again.
I've waffled about starting a new podcast for a while now (even though a lot of people have shown some hype for it), but things are cementing into place now, and I am close to actually getting this new show off the ground, and working on some early art for it has been a real joy.

Over this past summer I got really burnt out on both art and game design and it's been rough trying to shake off the rust. I'm plagued with the sorta ADHD that grips you into inaction when you have a lot of different things you want to do and can't just pick one and lock in on it, and being that
I'm doing my own art and game design, it's been a nightmare trying to spin both plates at once. Only recently have I stopped and slowed down and begun drawing for fun again, and I think after the past year of coming to hate my art style and be perpetually disappointed by my output, I think

Although it might look like I've done pretty well this year with getting a playable ashcan of Dowager, my big sci-fantasy tactics RPG out there and picking up a good amount of support for my patreon in just a few months, I've actually been feeling pretty awful about my creative work for a while.
One of the best things I've done for my mental health, especially in the last year or so, is free myself from the need to have a take on everything. The internet is a noise machine and I don't think most of the decibels I got in me are going to make it a whole lot better. Listen and observe etc etc
Just putting this out there cuz it feels like the last week or two especially have had so much wild bullshit going on. I'm kinda going through my own struggles irl right now and I hope I can get back to sharing the cool stuff I've been cooking soon. Sorry my stuff comes out on Absentia Time(TM) lmao
Rangers of a Broken World is now live!
Inspired by Final Fantasy X, the Xenoblade Chronicles, and Magic Knight Rayearth, the vibe is post-apocalyptic fantasy without the grimdark.

This is a generational win! It was beautiful seeing all of us, in Brasil and abroad, form a real movement. This proves how important peopleโs attention is. If we can capture it and point it the right way, we can beat the fascists, the Metas, the kings, and anyone who stands against the people. ๐ง๐ท

Heavily inspired by Morrowind, Planescape and 70's Star Wars with a dash of bronze age and art nouveau. The mood? Conan after Conan: all the heroes are dead and this is the world they built.

To create a trans character in warhammer that is taken in good faith, to have someone who is neither a literally physical threat to humanity's existence or a weapon of the worst regime known throughout history, one thing needs to change.

expanding a little: I was thinking about making dungeon maps out of relatively modern buildings like apartments and schools and office towers, but they tend to have extremely repetitive layouts, and considered this as a means to skip all the identical rooms that wouldn't be interesting...
Just a stray 4am though. It'd probably feel weird the moment a character questions why all the non-empty rooms are marked, or cause other problems if it's a purely meta thing. I dunno.
Maybe this is a little sour grapes on my part but for as much as I hear people always shouting "make weirder games!" I think it's actually very difficult to get any attention on your work if w/e you're making doesn't lend itself to a snappy 1 sentence pitch with familiar genre it aesthetic labels.
I love making weird stuff, do you guys actually enjoy reading weird stuff? Or is 'weird' just the word you use for things you already know and like and want more of?
If I'm really honest one of the most exhausting things about posting online and marketing your work is the pressure to perform as of your work and tastes are always the most everything, the most weird, the most horny, the most dark and brutal, the most soft and comforting. Idk man it depends.
for those of you who don't know the Shopping Mall lore
my first RPG was Heroes Unlimited (1E) and the group that introduced me played the intro scenario which is a nice standard "supervillains are threatening the shopping mall and the A-List heroes are unavailable, HELP". It's fine. Decent intro.
I would do that โyour first TTRPGs prompt that is going around but all itโs going to do is remind me again that I can never escape the shopping mall no matter how far I go
I was thinking today about how the word "cozy" gets a bit of a bad rap in media, often when it's used cynically to sell people something that embodies passivity or cheap comfort or other not-so-great things. I think a better word for what people want and like about cozy media might be "domestic." ๐งต
