AJ

Hello new followers :) I’m AJ. I’m an artist. I make comics about neurodiversity, queerness, fantastical weird sh1t and science fiction. A lot of my work is about my attempts to understand myself in kids books, animation, pictures and comics.

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump have lost surprise elections thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

Lula winning is great for the planet, great for Brazil, and great for people who aren't revanchist assholes everywhere in the world, but let's not forget that it's also going to make some of the worst people on Earth extremely sad and mad. We should enjoy that, as a little treat.

Hey Mixam. As one of the thousands of comic artists whose work you’ve misprinted, I wonder why you did this

Also if anyone hasn’t seen Jazz Emu and likes funky songs with hilarious word play and extreme surreal flights of fancy, you should. I saw him last night in Hackney and he was… singular. I left thoroughly gruntled.

Also whilst at the Fair Play Art Fair, I stopped for a coffee and whilst I was sat on a couch drinking and doodling, one of the baristas came over and handed me this - the other barista Liam had drawn me and gave it to me as a gift. Nobody ever really draws me! I was so chuffed. So I drew him back.

I went to see my pal Curtis being low key casually iconic at the Fair Play Art Fair today and most of his pieces were of my OTHER friend DMac which was a gorgeous surprise.

M. Night Shyamalan's YouTube channel (which is something he has now) came out of nowhere with this great line.

Every movie, song, and book that you love was made without the technology that people who don’t make art are now insisting is necessary for making art.
