The government is going to investigate the financial governance of Tees Valley Combined Authority. It comes three years after the Conservatives launched a review after allegations of corruption at the Teesworks regeneration scheme.

Over two and a half years we’ve been submitting questions to the TVCA/STDC trying to highlight the lack of transparency. After falling into a hole of depression and wondering if any of what we’ve been doing has mattered this news breaks. A glimmer of hope finally. We press on. #StrippedTees

The media frenzy surrounding the A66 tragedy has been absolutely shocking. Click bait articles from a dying news media trying to keep up with content creators who chase views. The monetisation of news has ruined us.

Growing up in Boro in a foster home I’ve seen my fair share of what London based media has apparently just discovered this week. I’m 40 next year. Boro has been like this my whole life and we need a proper strategy to pull us out of the depths of despair not platitudes and reductionist arguments.

When this cold hard evidence was put to the TVCA’s then monitoring officer she batted it away like it was nothing. Concrete evidence that a drug lord is overseeing security at Teesside Freeport
