#ArtRepostJuly Day 26: Realistic From long ago, when I did a lot of "traditional" art. Portrait of a Goshawk based on a picture. Meant to do a few of these, but talked myself out of it. We'll see if I can manage the last few. #SciArt #BirdArt

Once again, posting right before the day ends! Day 20 of #artrepostJuly is #whimsical. I do a lot of whimsy so it was hard to choose. Here’s a weird starry sky and #sheep picture. #EastCoastKin #Artchallenge #procreate

I don't usually post about my day job, but the small companies I work with aren't spending right now and new work is sparse, so: I make Wordpress websites for small businesses, artists, nonprofits, and am very good at finding creative ways to work in tight budgets. Talking is free: 10000things.net

Governor Mills doesn’t suffer fools lightly, and it appears she has even less tolerance for bullies. (And as a former attorney general, she knows what she’s talking about.)

Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds. Gov Mills: See you in court

This is what I have to imagine is a relatively rare occurrence of Grassley receiving a letter from someone older than he is.

Jen Bendery@jbendery.bsky.social

In an unusually direct appeal, William Webster, a Republican and former director of both the CIA and the FBI, sent a scathing letter to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), urging him to remember his legacy of strengthening the FBI and stop Kash Patel from being confirmed. www.huffpost.com/entry/willia...

lawyers: your bat signal has been activated

P. Andrew Torrez@andrewtorrez.bsky.social

The American Bar Association has just called upon every attorney, regardless of their political views, to join them & stand up for the rule of law & at minimum insist that our government "follow the law." Every lawyer has an ethical responsibility to do so. www.americanbar.org/news/abanews...

A selection of teapots from past firings of my Bourry-box wood kilns in NC and WV. I resisted making them for years, being intimidated by the process. Decided to give it a go and now it's one of my favorite forms! #thistleglenpottery #teapots #woodfiring #mtlebanonpa #flyash #stoneware

I want to laugh at how deeply stupid Kristi Noem is, and then I remember she’s in charge of the Department of Homeland Security and just want to cry

Looking forward to learning more about Bluesky and figuring out how to best utilize its potential...my first post is an image of a few of my wood fired oil flasks that came out of a recent firing of the Highlander wood kiln in Ligonier, Pennsylvania...

This will do wonders for the forthcoming argument that X isn’t a “state actor” for purposes of violating the Constitution.

TheDesk.net@thedesk.net

The NTSB says it will no longer email news outlets or reporters with notifications of upcoming press conferences, including those on plane crashes in Washington and Philadelphia. Instead, all notifications will be made on X. We're filing a FOIA to find out more about the change in policy.
