"President Trump closed the event by having the crowd pledge an oath to him." Totally normal, not a cult.

I think the algorithm needs more algorithming.

I think claude might be high.

The AI code is so much better than a human could write! Do not look at it, though! I beg you not directly at it, or you will spend all day fixing it.

Climate-change-driven death heat plus an Idiocracy-style authoritarian dominating our ability to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States aligns pretty well with my understanding of how things are going.

After the damage they have done, I am definitely not going to be inviting any of the Supreme Court justices to my 40th birthday party.

This is pretty much it.

Does shaving cream go bad? How many decades can it last?

When I click unsubscribe from the Social Security Administration's propaganda emails I get to this page. "and delete your account" <-- what.

(1) Refugees have to wait a year before they can apply for green cards (2) Green card applications from certain countries are no longer being processed, and (3) As of a few days ago, DHS is now arresting refugees who do not have green cards after 365 days. cwsglobal.org/blog/daily-s...

AP news doesn't even have the word Epstein on it's front page 🫥

In Feb, 2006, Southwest Airlines' "Spirit Magazine" had a pizza article and dubbed Mineo's Pizza, Pittsburgh, the best pizza in the United States. I shared this news with my friends at Carnegie Mellon and cite it to this day. 20 years later they're all demanding proof; please help me find a copy.

"She was just a mother who dropped her kid off at school."

IT HAS SNOWN.

Chat GPT but it calls you daddy

"This is not normal. We cannot allow this to feel normal."

Absolutely schooled by my 10 year old. It starts...

LaGuardia Famiglia looks *nothing* like the airport. Kinda neat tho!

Let the record show that I do not believe the Democratic party should cave to the GoP's brutish tactics in this shutdown. (That said, I also don't rely on SNAP and would be very interested to know what that community actually wants...)

#MozFest has been such a great chance to re-connect with friends, colleagues, and collective visions. It's clearly time to start leaning into creating Bad Ideas again.

apnews.com/article/demo... Imagine being a major news source and not even knowing what party controls all three branches of the U.S. Government.

My 10 y/o wants a COVID booster for the fall. I had to explain to her that we don't know exactly what will happen yet because our country is being led by people who don't understand science and won't allow kids to get healthcare. I don't care what your politics are, that is her lived reality.

My 80-year-old aunt told me she "got tired of streaming" and is borrowing DVDs from her library again. So I checked it out and they have an amazing selection. Blu-rays too, from Criterion, Kino Lorber and other boutique labels. #PhysicalMedia #FilmSky

It took a 2-week tech detox vacation for me to finally see that four screens MIGHT be too many screens.

LLMs should be ranked in terms of equivalence to various answer services. Does it beat Yahoo Answers => Quora => Twitter => Your Very Confident Cousin => TikTok => Reddit => etc.

The Social Security Administration just emailed me political propaganda. This country is in rough shape.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH ALL THESE CUCUMBERS

Got an email from Democratic party administrators warning that ActBlue is likely to be targeted by the Trump administration. As a local candidate this would affect my ability to receive online donations and file campaign finance reports. This is not a normal thing to need to worry about.

I can finally say I have left my mark on this world.

Our trade balance will be zero if there is no trade any more :logic:

I am choosing to believe that carve-out item (5) "bullion" is a typo'd reference to bouillon cubes. NO TARIFFS ON SOUP.

If this guy would just increase the tariff on font sizes by 400% maybe we would be able to read his stupid chart.

It's been a week and I'm still thinking about this exchange.

Just imagine what kinds of conversations they are having over on Telegram!

UNREAL. ICE implies in a sworn declaration that MOST of the Venezuelans sentenced to hard labor in a brutal Central American prison without charge or trial or so much as a cursory hearing had never been convicted or even charged with ANY CRIME whatsoever, not even a trivial one, anywhere, ever!
