People will say Bluesky is humourless and uncharitable, but I still remember the time on Twitter that I said that I find it annoying when people begin videos with “Hi guys, welcome to my channel” and the replies were like “Wow!! Imagine getting pissed off about something so inconsequential!”

You cannot make YouTube videos without getting optimization sickness. I compulsively cut little pauses and filler words out of my videos because I don’t want to waste even an iota of my audience’s time (except for the content itself, which is time they consented to waste)

I can’t even do “like and subscribe” shit without finding a little bit to make it fun, and I genuinely lose out on growth because of it! But that’s the deal! The whole point is that I’m supposed to be making a thing you want to watch! If you stop wanting to watch, I have broken the deal!

Also it's not even true? Some people are demonstrably not Green Lanterns. In fact, very few people are.
