I find it funny how almost every time I see someone make a wider societal pattern into a "gen z bad" thing I check their profile and they're between the age of 16 and 25

social media has been horrible for feeding into the egos of the "born in the wrong generation" kids, I should not be seeing as many shitty generalizations about young people from other young people as I do from older people

I think the reason why twin peaks gave so many artists brainworms is because it's such a reminder that you can fill something with moments of over the top drama and cartoonishness and still manage to play it straight and get people to seriously care about it when you need to

it's a testament to the fact that decisiveness, shamelessness and passion are the most important things you need to make art

I feel like part of the reason venture bros is so popular among trans women is because doc hammer basically did voice training over the course of the show by voicing sheila

it feels so fucking weird seeing Nathan Fielder's name around a bunch, looking his name up to see if he's done something new I'm not aware of and seeing a bunch of articles referring to him as "documentary maker Nathan Fielder"

like it's technically true but it feels so odd to see him get such a normal descriptor when previously any coverage of him in the public eye talked about him like an unknowable trickster deity

you'd think uvulitis would be fun for someone who likes oral cause it's constant throat discomfort but instead it just makes you wanna die

It's weird clocking other trans women who pass insanely well in public cause like I don't know how i do it, game recognise game i guess

I think it's because most trans women I've met irl have fashion senses so sick and unique that few cis people can match their swag, when I see a cool outfit irl there's like a 1/3 chance that person is trans and like a 50% chance they're queer in some other way

im probably gonna have to change my sona's design up like 3 million times over the next couple months now that I've started buying really cheap second-hand clothes and trying like every fashion style ever

i'll probably land somewhere between her previous design and her current one cause I wear my glasses pretty much all the time now and my favourite stuff to wear is big long coat + turtleneck combo

I don't trust people who make a big show about being mean and standoffish as if that inherently makes their views more radical I've noticed they only bring that energy to infighting too, in the face of oppression the kind people turn out to be the actual tough ones

like, being an asshole and turning yourself into a caricature is no substitute for growing a spine, you're still bending your entire personality around other people's perceptions of you and are just as fragile at your core, but you also chase off all the people you can actually count on

considering both Discworld and Venture Bros canonically have alternate universes I like to believe that they exist within the same multiverse and Rincewind and Rusty are far off equivalents to eachother

well I thought about the Barney Moe said "'son you're fuckin' Simp" and I thought "yeah, there's a thirst for duff beer" so I took job at power plant

it maddens me that this is straight up going to get kids abused or maybe even killed and only a minority of people are even bringing that up, if you care at all you will be loud and angry about this and you will make sure to mention just how bad it really is, this isn't JUST fraud

Team Paxton appears to have sent out fake mailers to Texas voters impersonating a trans student group and claiming to want to help kids secretly transition. The actual group said they had nothing to do with it, despite the mailers copying their aesthetic, and the address traces to a random UPS box.

I try not to post about this stuff too much because it makes me feel hopeless and it feels like it does nothing but im so fucking mad about this one stop doing the whole law and order "oh my goodness he's broken the law! someone please contact the police inspector postehaste!" shit. They kill kids.

it's genuinely kinda crazy how little the average cishet guy who shaves daily understands about razors, shaving cream or how either work/should be used

it's funny how i go through phases of posting either single sentence gibberish posts or big multi paragraph rants about stuff and no inbetween

white people aave misuse is reaching absurd levels, I'm seeing like entire sentences made up only of it now it's dire as hell

you may argue this isn't an example and that this is just "internet slang", but this stuff is still the same idea because you used to mainly see these abbreviations in black online spaces used a lot more sparingly but then white teenagers got ahold of it and used them with zero restraint

I usually assume everyone who isn't very evil has good intentions underlying the things they say or do and feel like I shouldn't be that mean to them but lately I've been realising that it doesn't matter, idc if you said something you don't mean, you still said it and have to own up to it
