I joined bakatako the other week and it became my go-to webbed site so so quickly oops... here are some of my favourite bakas!!

The last human ghost bears alone the burden of a world that no longer exists. Millions of years have passed, the ocean has washed away our unfulfilled promises, and a new civilization has inherited the Earth. But something has survived the passage of time: the ability to care for one another.

Commissioners never be scared of rambling about your ocs when commissioning artists, yes it helps figuring out how to draw them but also as an artist, it makes me more invested and excited to draw them!!! It's a little motivation boost and it's always welcome <33

oh! my hand did slip in the end, just not all in one go haha (doodled the night I was tiredposting, then coloured the next morning)

chickensmoothie's oekaki boards were where I started doing digital art so I feel pretty nostalgic for this kind of thing haha

well. technically I guess my start-start w/ digital was on an old app called drawcast?? but similar kind of time frame so ehh it's close enough

mmmm if I can finish all the art-work I want to finish today then maybe I'll spend tomorrow playing games as a treat

ohh I know I'm making something tasty when I need to make a fresh copy of my working file so I can be more ruthless about cutting my layer count

the above is a loose redraw of this!! kind of scary what a few years away from a project can do... sharing the original sketch too bc the jump in line confidence is wild...

the best stuff i make is always the stuff that I'll never share because it's so Catered To Me that showing it to anyone else, ever, would be absolutely mortifying

maybe one day I'll be a bit braver about it, but for now i will simply luxuriate in the ways it's improved my enjoyment of writing-as-an-activity

krita reference images tool has Done Things to my process I fear. I feel like I'm constantly raving about how good it is and how much I love it, easily my #1 favourite feature of all time

for those that haven't used it, it basically lets me integrate a moodboard into my working files!! I can move the stuff on the references "layer" around and resize/flip/rotate them, and even desaturate them or lower their opacity!! unspeakably useful!!!
