I made it to the UK yesterday despite the storms, only slightly delayed. Gonna spend the week pestering Saber. Still raining today but tomorrow's supposed to be sunny.

Participated in a 5k race today and managed to run my fastest 5k time ever (bear in mind Im still a slow runner). The race happened on Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin and the weather couldn't be more awful. It was non-stop raining. Official time was 33:48 min - I stopped my watch slightly later.

It's Festival of Lights again in Berlin so I met with some friends for walkies. It was rather full between Berliner Dom and Brandenburger Gate but I didn't expect otherwise on a Friday or the weekend in general. Victory column is always super empty, no one wants to walk that far 😂

Today my sister, @thorinfrostclaw.bsky.social and me conquered the 30km Mammutmarsch in Dortmund :3 we were worried it would rain a lot but in the end it was mostly sunny with very light drizzle. Apparently Dortmund can be quite pretty. It exceeded my rather low expectations xD (I grew up here)

Signed up for a 5k race - it'll take place at Tempelhofer Feld. Tried to run 2 to 3 times a week since after EF and wanna see how well I can survive and test my fitness. Let's see 🐕☁️ I'm a slow runner but low key determined to become mediocre at running.

Women in sports are heavily underrated. 🔥 The first Backyard (Ironman) Ultra Triathlon has just ended and the last two athletes standing were women. Over 66 hours non-stop: 16.5 km swimming, 660 km cycling, and 165 km running. In the end, Hanna Schramm and Jess Ittner agreed to a tie. 🫡

Took the steam train, which is called "Rasender Roland" (Roaring Roland). It is not only fun but also the only direct connection between Putbus (where my car is) and Selin 😶‍🌫️ Going only every 2h which is inconvenient. Still cool. Grabbing dinner then taking Roland back. Time to go back to Berlin.

Visited the sand sculptures exhibition in Prora. This years theme was german proverbs. Quite impressive what you can build with sand. Especially loved the animals of course - but it was all pretty cool.

Finished a 33km hike on Rügen (by Ostseeweg). It was insanely wimdy but thankfully didn't rain until I was done. Their mascot is Susi the seahorse and... I don't know. I just had to buy her. Attached her to my backpack and she was my companion for the rest of the day. The medal is super pretty.

Took the ferry to Hiddensee this morning to spend the day here. It's an island without cars, so I rented myself a bicycle to get around. The main attraction is a lighthouse. It was rather wimdy up t This place is beyond beautiful.

Spent a long weekend in the Harz mountains with some furry friends. Lotsa hiking close to Netzkater. Had goat milk ice cream from a little farm. Many pretty rocks. More rocks. In the photos you see Gänseschnabel, Teufelsmauer, Poppenbergturm. The dog in the photo is sadly not me but Maja.

Something sure aint wired right in my brain. I've been feeling rather tired after EF yet heres me looking at that xtreme hike happening Saturday "Will paying 70E, driving 4h and hiking 50km make me feel better eventually?" I have decided against it. But it was a close decision lol

Signed up for another extreme hiking event! Is this furry-themed... or scaley? 🐉 Lindwurm (In the Eye of the Dragon) is all about chasing dragons, so I’m tackling 45 km with 1,000 m elevation to hunt down Tabaluga and Grizu. Less hand-holding this time - so navigation is pure GPX track on my phone!

Spent half the day sleeping and it's been a very slow day. Omg the con has taken it's toll on me. I hope my energy levels are back to normal tomorrow. I tried to keep my electrolytes under control but it was just impossible to have an even remotely normal sleep schedule. 🫩😭

I spent a whole lot of time chilling and chatting with various people at the goh tent the past two days. It's a great escape from the rest of the con. Love the artsy vibe it has. :3

We worked hard to get the charity booth ready yesterday! Here's a WIP photo with two standees I drew! The charity is a seal rescue center, and the wolf is Greeny, Eurofurence's mascot.

A lot of people worked extra hard to make the theming elements for the 30th anniversary of #eurofurence something special. Thank you to those who planned it together with me, set-up crew, critters and artists. So many paws were needed to make this work. A true team effort. Enjoy the con!

So... my credit card data got stolen and someone started buying train tickets. 🫠 Just the thing you need a day before driving to EF. All sorted, called my bank and filed a report with the police. But didn't need this meltdown. Glad I saw it just when it happened and not days later.

Took the train to Uetliberg and climbed the observation tower. Lake Zürich is rather pretty! And there were weird looking elk statues everywhere. Loved them. 🫎

Apparently it was swiss national day yesterday🇨🇭 I didn't know that when I planned my flights 😆 @koltas.bsky.social and me hiked from Winterthur to Kyburg with quite some elevation. Would not expect anything different from Switzerland. Ended the day at a BBQ. Seen many swissfur friends unexpectedly ❤️

Flying to Zürich for the weekend. A bramibals (vegan donut place) has opened at the airport. Been awaiting the opening for quite a while as its my favourite donut chain in Berlin :3 (Totally overpriced given the location xD but oh well.)

I totally forgot to share this. Last Saturday I drove to my colleagues and her husbands lake house. We made a 'lil bon fire and chatted all night. Then ate some Fischbrötchen (first time I ate eel, I think) and did a boat tour with the cutest little boat on lake Müritz. Love all the lakes up there.

Visited Thale today! Took the chairlift to Rosstrappe and the cable car to Hexentanzplatz. Rosstrappe had an amazing view, and I loved the tale of Princess Brunhilde's horse leaving its hoofprint in the rock. Hexentanzplatz was less exciting for me, though. 🌄🚠

Made it to the summit of the Wurmberg as well. Climbed the 162 stairs to the top of the observation tower as well. Collected 3 of 222 stamps today and 2 special stamps that don't count towards the challenge. They're a nice to have :3

More than ready to explore the Harz region hiking 🤣 Short weekend trip with my sister is coming up. Excited to start collecting stamps 🫡 (you can collect up to 222 stamps on your hiking trips)

Uniqlo has some pretty cool BVG fashion xD Since I became a frequent user of public transport here in Berlin, I got myself the Boy -> Görli(tzer Platz) one. Haha, it's kinda fun and clever.

Not in Japan. Still in Berlin. First time I see these wobbly cute desserts in Germany xD this was at an Asian restaurant for hand pulled noodles. Its supppsed to be their mascot as a cat. Its wearing goggles or something. It was even vegan! (Coconut panna cotta and Mango puree)

Remember me rambling about my Flixtrain travel plans? Train got cancelled today and I just spent 125€ on a last minute DB ticket at stupid-o-clock in the morning. Why. This is a level of bad planning i dont understand.
