Figured I should keep plugging my writing, so, hello. I'm Socrates Agrees. I write short stories, novellas and have a few novels in progress, all set in the same universe. It's got everything: dark comedy, superpowers, sci-fi bull shit, cosmic horror and more! #writing #writersky #fiction #stories

After 1.5 years of pouring my heart into my very first game, I'm so excited to finally announce that... Drawquarium is coming to Steam on November 13! 🥹 Draw your own fish, bring them to life, and create your little underwater world, even as a live wallpaper! Like+RT = ♥️ #IndieGames #Cozygames

For what I think is the fifth time within the last year, one of the doors leading into one of the bank's buildings (we have three, another was recently demolished, and we also rent storage from a disused police station. It's a weird place) has abruptly become unable to keep closed.

We have key card-accessible locks AND numerical code locks on the same doors, but occasionally, the door itself just fucks up and breaks seemingly for no reason. Usually that means we have to manually lock them, but this time the actually locking mechanism is broken and won't latch at all.

It's hilarious but also it's just another symptom of how dysfunctional the company is from the top-down. It's like a microcosm of corporate America despite not even being traded on the stock market (because then management would be accountable to somebody and this place would go belly-up overnight).

It's also cool how I seemingly cannot delete songs from my playlists on Deezer using either their desktop app OR their mobile app. In both cases, they claim to have deleted the songs, yet there they remain. I love how everything involving the Internet is just worse now.

Bluesky has broken in a new and novel manner for me today. It just keeps popping me right back at the very top of whatever feed I'm reading, even a chain of comments. If they wanted to land on a bug that makes this app unusable, that's probably their best try so far.

there is literally NO REASON to buy games from major studios anymore just pirate them if you can or get them on a deep discount a couple years later if the end result of making successful games is still Getting Laid Off then i guess there's no reason to support this anymore

The timeline feels more hopeful today. Congratulations to Brazil and Serbia. Thank you for proving that the fascist machine is not undefeatable even when they stack the deck. May the rest of the world follow your example.

the lesson of the Civil War is that aesthetic warrior-cult societies get their shit rocked by schoolteachers and store clerks who'd much rather be doing anything else

Nuclear Throne is super fun. People were not kidding about the difficulty, but I'm enjoying the moment to moment gameplay enough that I'm already fairly sure this is a game I'll be happy to beat my head against until I conquer it. Takes me back to when Enter the Gungeon dominated my entire life.

Why do so many of you still tolerate ads? I haven't seen nor heard an ad on my PC, phone or in my car in literal years. It doesn't take much work, and advertising as an industry can and should be burned to the ground, so why does anyone still suffer it?

Part of this story involves and is briefly told from the perspective of a robot who, along with his brother, always refers to his three inventors / caretakers as "Dads" collectively (and articulates disagreements between them like this: "Two Dads said no, but one Dad said yes, so it's still fine".

Today I hit 330 pages, meaning I've done roughly 1.5 pages a day since this post. Not a ton but a consistent output I'm happy with. This will be the first story I've finished in... Wow, almost two years. I've done A LOT OF WRITING since. Amazing that my longest story will be the next completed.

My current story hit 315 pages today. The most shocking part is that I'm damn near certain I'm going to finish it. The ending is taking shape in my brain, which is more than I can say about a lot of my in-progress work. This is also the longest story I've ever written by going on 75 pages. Progress!

Everybody go buy and play Look Outside. It's genuinely a masterpiece, the writing is fantastic and it has incredible amounts of heart, plus soooo many secrets to uncover. I've played through it five separate times in a row and STILL haven't seen everything the game has to offer.

Hi, everyone! I'm still working hard on the Katana ZERO DLC. We made it bigger. It's the size of a full sequel, plus a soundtrack of over 30+ new songs. More updates to come. Thanks for your continued support!
