Guillermo Del Toro dropping another one liner that’s exactly how I feel about AI slop, the “punishment” is built in

Peachtober day 22: Green 🐛 I had something different planned for this prompt originally, but searching for reference photos I came across the japanese emperor caterpillar and couldn't help myself, I just had to paint a bunch of tiny green critters. #peachtober26 #watercolor #peachtober

Peachtober day 17: Braid A cholita skater inspired by the Imilla Skate collective who I think are really cool 🛹 🤙 I've posted daily up until this prompt. I won't be doing all of the prompts left over, but the ones I do will be 18x26 cm like this one. #peachtober26 #peachtober #watercolor

Peachtober day 07: Bubble . I was scared of painting the bubbles but I ended up loving how they turned out (: . #peachtober26 #peachtober #watercolor

Peachtober day 04: Spell Every witch needs her cat, and I got the best one. Yesterday was my girl Salem's second birthday, so I thought I'd feature her in today's peachtober postcard. #watercolor #peachtober #peachtober26

Peachtober day 03: Moose Every time I see a video of a moose online I think about how silly my car would look next to one, and how I'd probably be terrified and amazed at the same time if I saw one walking down a road. #peachtober #peachtober26 #watercolor #illustration

Peachtober day 02: Chimney I really wasn't sure what to draw for this one, but then I remembered the expression "smokes like a chimney" and how in Argentina we say "smokes like a horned frog (escuerzo)" instead... and so this lil guy was born. #peachtober #peachtober26 #watercolor #illustration

One of the first things I do in any traditional media piece including humans or animals is the eyes. If you fuck up the eyes there’s no point in pushing through, nothing else will make it look alive.

Made a very small A4 painting for a private show a couple of weeks ago, but it was shown digitalized on a much larger scale. Someone fell in love with it and commissioned me to paint it 50x80 cm 🫠 so I finally cut a piece of my giant canson watercolor paper roll and now I’m on the struggle bus

Oh, so everyone is being absolutely batshit crazy about my country on here too. Amazing dehumanization campaign going on right now, came on here trying to escape from the insanity but every post I see is about argentinians being racist or shit people according to ya’ll. Reflect. Seriously.

Salem got her FeLV vaccine today and took it like a champ ❤️‍🩹 I’ve been waiting for the vaccine to get here ever since we adopted her. Even though she’s an indoor cat the stray population here is widely infected and we didn’t want to take any chances.

Last world cup I watched only the final match and we won. So this year I’m making the sacrifice of following the score through google and watching no matches to sustain the cábala. So far so good 🇦🇷⭐️⭐️⭐️

A friend commissioned this one for her roommate. Figaro was such a silly, playful, loving cat. He sadly passed away a couple of months ago ❤️‍🩹 this one is based on their favorite picture of him. #petportrait #charcoal #art #cat

Just got a text from a student at 11 pm on a Thursday asking if I’ve really annulled their exam for plagiarism. Common sense is DEAD, shame has left the building 🤦🏻‍♀️

My students had their final exam today and I’m sad and angry ): I’m glad I decided to stop teaching, it was truly disrespectful the level of work they put in, the blatant use of AI, the lying in my face, most of them got there over an hour late. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Anyone who knows me knows the amount of work I’ve put on their classes and how much I care about motivating them and teaching. It all felt like a huge, senseless, waste of my time, effort and expertise. I wonder if this is what teachers in other countries are facing.

This is wild, and quite shameless 🫣

Doctor M. Popular@docpop.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy

There's a pretty wild story unfolding involving one of the world's most popular artists, an up-and-coming watercolor painter, and the New York Knicks. I wanted to try documenting some of it here:

Please fight me on this if I’m understanding it wrong, but it feels tremendously dumb to finish Ncuti’s run as the Doctor with a teased Billie regeneration and then say nah nvm no christmas special. It felt forced at the time but come on, stick to your gunsss pal 😞

Every time I see a smart post on my instagram timeline it has one of those stupid 🔄 bubbles with one of my friends’ face floating in it, which reminds me I’m luckily surrounded by very intelligent people 🫰🏻

Support local artists, support your friends, support your colleagues, support those following your steps, support whoever hasn’t sold their soul to the machine yet 💪🏻

People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.
