We need more people like @aoc.bsky.social and @mcbride.house.gov in government, standing against the hate, corruption, and misinformation.

Why would anyone listen to cishet politicians about real trans people? If I wanted to know about giraffes, I wouldn’t ask a committee of hippos. I would go to the giraffes themselves. I’d ask a doctor or scientist who specializes in giraffes. Or I’d ask one who was both giraffe and a doctor.

I don’t have any meta accounts to quit and give the middle finger to on the way out, so instead I’m asking all my straight friends, my students, and the academic community to quit theirs. The queer community is not a silo, and hate has no place in ANY community.

Is there a social app just for lgbtq+ people? Or least one without all the hate?
