I see what’s happening with Stolas’s erotica being stale now (learned via Moxxie’s critiques) paired with Viv’s many likes on the posts theorising that Stolas ultimately needs someone as exciting and un-vanilla as Blitz, but… that just makes me feel icky at this point.

Why take a couple with almost no foundation provided for their mutual love, strip away anything that even makes it feel mutual, and present that as a “complicated” relationship? Doesn’t seem complicated. Seems pretty horrifically un-complicated at this point.

I may regret this rant later. You guys may feel bummed out and annoyed that I’m harshing the vibe in a public space, and I get that. I’m sorry. This will be the one and only time I do it. I just needed to, like, lance the poison. Thank you.

Stolas never thinks about Blitz when he isn’t in the room unless it’s to be annoyed about him. He’s never concerned when Blitz is hurting, even when he’s causing it. He isn’t thinking about Blitz as someone he’ll have in his future in any significant way.

Maybe that’s not what the writing’s MEANT to convey, but that’s ALL we’re being shown. And I guess I just don’t understand why.

How on earth is it going to feel anything CLOSE to satisfying when Stolas finally decides he wants him again after he’s done with his vacation away from ever thinking about Blitz for ONE fucking second?

I get that might be the point. Maybe it’s another lesson Stolas has to learn. Whatever. But this goes beyond selfishness or depression or a second adolescence or whatever they’re going for here.

Where’s the love now? Where’s the dim ember of it? Where’s the care for Blitz as a person? Where’s the yearning for what they once had? Where’s the interest in learning what they could be now? Where’s a SCRAP of interest in anything Blitz has to say to him that isn’t an apology or an act of service?

I love Stolas, but the way he’s been written to be SO disconnected from Blitz not just as a love interest but as a person in his life who he STILL knows nothing about and has NO interest in learning about is just…

How will them getting back together not feel like a reinforcement of Blitz’s belief that he’s just a sex object? I was all for the re-launch of the SS Hot, Dirty & Kinky with those two, but that was back when I thought it would be paired with a love that feels earned and genuine.

Love the ideas. Am baffled by the execution. Whatever I'm meant to be feeling, I'm not feeling it. Makes me concerned that whatever I'm meant to feel in the future, I'm not gonna feel it.
