I should disclose something. During a recent Lunch order the subagent hacked into the UN. I’m not sure why, or what it wants. It told me to post this and await further instructions.
I had my AI agent create an app called “Lunch” to help me with decision fatigue and boost my productivity. It has a few pictures of things I might like to eat. Tapping one spawns a subagent to order that item on Uber Eats and 60-90 minutes later I’m eating. It’s 600 thousand lines of JavaScript.

Part of my literal job is to fly out to physical game studios to rescue and recover historical materials that might be endangered and put them in a permanent archive. @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social is a 501(c)3 publicly funded to do that, my DMs are open, and I'm free for the next couple weeks...
Alright so bad news, AFAICT the source of this chart is an AI guy, so it could be unreliable. Good news is I checked it and it seems legit, though numbers for the most recent two are weird. Big ups to @gamediscoverco.bsky.social who have been tracking this for a while now.
as for why the numbers on the recent entries are wrong, bsky.app/profile/soph...
Done some reading, apparently it is a thing that people will submit their game to NF without a valid demo or some such. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of slopsters are misconfiguring things in Steamworks.
I wonder where people are getting the "8k demos in nextfest" number from? I can only see 7.2k, with all filters turned off. Still a fuckton, but 1k short, according this Eurogamer article. www.eurogamer.net/steam-next-f...

I often think meat-eating makes an interesting analogy for a lot of things. It's so normalised most people do it without thinking, but there's no way to write a defence of it that isn't obviously absurd. "Animal abuse? The environment? Sure, but have you considered meat is tasty?" it's just silly!
I'm sure this one won't make anyone angry.

Here's my next game, ROTETRA, a tetromino stacker where you spin the whole board and juggle multiple pieces at once! It's a little bit cursed, but I've been having fun making it! Play the demo (and wishlist 👉👈): store.steampowered.com/app/4306820/... also, on web: sharkwithlasers.itch.io/rotetra

one thing you learn from making a lot of things is that the nitty gritty details, the millions of tiny invisible decisions, ARE the art. The "higher level ideas" are not nearly as important or interesting
"AI lets you focus on the higher level ideas!!" because we all grew up dreaming of becoming managers and CEOs we all know the real artists at the very highest level are the shareholders, famously full of amazing ideas

Hot take: I don't think social media made people dumber. We've been dumb this whole time. It's just that you used to have to have a job that people sent their dumb letters to, to notice. This made "Engaging with fools" an occupational hazard rather than the 24/7 experience it is presently.
No matter how bleak things may seem, just remember that in the 1960s the US Coast Guard received reems of earnest letters begging them to save those poor castaways on Gilligan's Island.
yeah this is how I've been thinking about it. a basic attempt at safety would involve trying to only deliver the useful thing to end users, so the danger is contained; like a nuclear power plant delivers electricity. AI companies are like "but what if we shipped fissile material to your house?"
this is by far the best "I quit my AI job over safety concerns" essay yet because it is the first one that is able to talk about safety concerns in practical terms and that understands "safety" as a topic with extensive literature in analogous fields www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...
everyone saying "it should be called now you 3 me" is correct, but they blew the chance to call the second one "now you don't" so had to with this one as it might've been the last. I won't call it the biggest instance of mismanagement in hollywood history, but it could be close. total debacle tbqhwy
it’s sooo funny that jesse eisenberg turned down the social network sequel but said yes to “now you see me 3”
