Spark 0.11.1 is out now! 🔐 Auth no longer expires after two weeks! You will have to login again after update but shouldn't have to for a very, very long time. 👾 We also fixed a video upload bug and made some preparations for scoped auth, coming soon. Much more exciting updates coming real soon!

A note: Some users have noticed that signup doesn't work on Android. OAuth signup is broken on ALL captcha-enabled PDSes, not just ours. This is an hCaptcha regression, not the fault of Bluesky. We are incredibly grateful for @matthieu.bsky.team's work to resolve this. Follow along here:

Your choice. By default they just go out of the UI but we have a setting in the story manager to auto-delete them after 24 hours

We are in the process of taking down thousands of bots on our PDS. This effort is largely automated but all takedowns are reversible. We support the ability for people, including those in Gaza, to raise money, and we encourage any legitimate accounts wrongfully taken down to use the appeals process.

You love to see it... more of this, please. For folks abandoning TikTok after its US takeover, consider using something like @skylight.social or @sprk.so or similar systems that give you a similar feeling but on an open protocol underneath so you'll never have to "move" again.

Spark 0.6.0 is out now with one of our most requested features: OAuth, for both sign-in and sign-up! We also added a new UI for photo carousels and the app is over 30x faster on first loads and profile loads. Go try it out and let us know what you think!

It adds a ton of new features: 📽️ There's a fully redesigned editor for making videos 📨 You can repost posts and see which of your friends liked or reposted a post. 🚩 You can block people and report people & posts There's also haptics, labels, and a bunch of bug fixes.
