im really loving edge3... its got a similar workflow to aseprite (and also thankfully imports its filetypes) but it cuts out a lot of the stuff that i find annoying. it's nice having a usable rotation tool

we'll see if i keep to edge3. I'm having a really good time with it so far. Only real caveat i've happened upon thus far is that palettes are hard-locked to 256 colours, but that's kinda whatever

i think the biggest difference for me though is that the UI isn't going for a twee pixel aesthetic. I've always found aseprite's commitment to its aesthetic cute but ultimately really unwieldy. Also never been a fan of how many features are nested away due to the space constraints
