I need a book recommendations for our faculty book club for November. #booksky We need: 🍂 family sagas 🍂road trips 🍂food centered narratives, especially soul food 🍂 football 🏈 narratives 🍂Native American authored takes (feel good)

It stems from a profound lack of background information. For thirty years schools have pulled back on full novels, cancelled magazine subscriptions and struck newspaper orders from the budget. They've closed libraries and cut book reports in favor of excerpts.

context. sentiment. inferences. People seriously cannot do these things anymore. That’s why they angrily demand you spell out every joke, every reference, super duper promise you mean something only this one prescribed way. They cannot do it for themselves or tolerate the any ambiguity.

I want to see the data on whether those awful YouTube ads actually move the needle.

Top Democrats across the country are privately warning that they do not have enough cash in the November midterms to capitalize on what could be their party’s best political environment in over a decade and are at serious risk of leaving winnable seats on the table. https://cnn.it/4yaApZc

Your reminder that the midterms are coming, and your votes should include considering pro-library candidates. Ask them their views. Ask them about funding. Ask them about protecting democratic institutions.

If it’s all good why do you need to hide the watermark?

Anthropic announced last week it would include invisible watermarks in AI-generated content to comply with new EU rules. Within hours, overrides were being touted online.

Book bans are segregation Scooby snacks. They allow people with no political power to feel power over their neighbors. They allow conservative politicians to say they're 'successful' while they fail at every other meaningful government action. bookriot.com/utah-bans-pu...

Big thanks to all of my supporters who have been helping me #clearthelist Today I was able to give out vocabulary cards to the kids who joined the SAT study group and give them a little sweet treat. We still need snacks for the book club and SAT study books if you have a few coins to help.

Thank you so much to my school supply angel! I've already gotten some books and menstrual products. The most used items are deodorant, but I'd love to giveaway school agendas and SAT prep books. If you're looking to help #clearthelist here it is: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...

You guys are awesome! I got stickers & bookmarks and snacks for book club today and I'm so grateful. I'm still hoping to get enough SAT books to giveaway to our Seniors. You can download How Gen Z Discover and Consume Books free from Cambridge University Press through August 6. This is pretty pertinent reading given all the talk from that Atlantic article heralding the end of the age of reading. bookriot.com/listen/the-l...
