Fossil fuel companies are angling to evade accountability through the Supreme Court—but the facts are simply not on their side. Even with the Trump admin's full backing of the industry, “the age of accountability for the fossil fuel industry has just begun.”

Do you want a decent future for your kids, for everyone to have what they need to thrive, abundant life on our home planet? We need to change the whole system. We need to dream a new world into reality. None of this current nonsense is necessary. Never forget this. @srti.bsky.social

🚨Disruption of Sustainability in Higher Education Conference🚨 Academia should live up to its responsibility to society and convey urgency. Shouldn’t we turn academic conferences into emergency briefings? Shouldn’t we organize ourselves to face this unbearable situation together?

Finally got to read @jeremiahhayden.bsky.social’s story on the PMC meeting and he nailed it. I was the one chanting “PCEF is for people not billionaires” and now I’m glad I got thrown out of the meeting before facing the gauntlet of those canapés

It’s unclear if anyone who purchased a $350 ticket to this year’s chamber of commerce meeting is feeling buyer’s remorse, but if they expected anything more than a pep rally, sans pep, they certainly could be.

Academic journal corps like Elsevier are not just funneling away public research money. They are pouring it into fossil fuels 💸 I document the complicity of academic publishing in Science in Resistance where I interview an employee of Cell fired after digging into its ties to Big 🛢️ Excerpt below 👇

Amazing fact from today's post from @bhensonweather.bsky.social: the contiguous U.S. was hottest on record for March, and for all intervals (2-month, 3-month, etc.) going all the way back to the 12-month period from April 2025 through March 2026. Also true for the past 18-, 24-, 36-, and 48-months.

yaleclimateconnections.orgThe year so far: hottest and driest in U.S. history » Yale Climate ConnectionsAfter a season-defying March heat wave pushed things into overdrive, it’s an open question – and a crucial one – how soon more generous moisture might arrive.

When we delivered a couple of oversized cards & 💐 (above) to the EPA offices, a few of the EPA employees we talked with were grateful for our concern and our presence. Let's impress them with how many of us are standing up to show our support for them through these difficult times.

The April 14th action is designed to look more like a funeral than a protest. We will all dress in black or dark clothes & carry flowers or e-candles, presenting ourselves as mourners. We will sing a dirge re-written for the purpose. A few people will offer "eulogies" for what has been lost.

Today Nordea voted to continue financing new oil from the Arctic. Nordea's claim to be a sustainability leader has watered down - they not only continue to be the biggest investor in fossil fuel companies in Finland but also retracted from their climate pledges. Our polar coalition is not happy.
