It’s Labor Day, and the unofficial start of Fall (as far as I’m concerned, it’s officially official), so it’s time for summer fruits to make way for apples and such. To kick things off, I’ve made this lovely apple cider sourdough loaf, which makes the best toast of all the times.

Just finished Season 2 of The Gentlemen (based on the Giy Ritchie movie, which is also great), and WOWWWWWW… so good. We loved the first season but this? I was on the edge of my seat for every episode. SO. GOOD.

Hi, Philly friends. Though it breaks my heart to say it, we have to rehome one of our dogs. He’s as sweet as he can be, but our other dog just isn’t good with other dogs. Jack is a beautiful, gentle soul who deserves to be safe & loved. DM if you’d like more info. www.adoptapet.com/pet/49198396...

yall are gonna hear me say this a lot so here goes again: make plans to vote in person, and do it as early as possible. literally make turnout this election too big to steal.

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.

Yet another issue where every single person who touched it needs to end up in jail for us to have any semblance of the rule of law. You cannot have a functional democracy where the government creates a plan to literally throw away votes from places that don't support the incumbent party.

We had a most excellent time taking a focaccia class at The Bread Room (Chestnut Street in ye olde Philly) last night. If you’re looking for a fun night with friends (this is a top-tier date night activity), this is a solid option.

BREAKING: my stress level. We flew to Seattle on Friday for a three-week vacation (a few days there—including going to the Phils game last night—then a long drive down the west coast). Emergency flight home Sunday because our dogs got in a fight. $2000 in vet bills, no game, no vacation. STRESS.

They want her to have the job for the white reasons…

The Trump Admin is against DEI but supports Darlene Graham to be a US Senator despite the fact that her only qualification is that she was born the sister of Lindsey.

Vacation mode: ACTIVATED. Just got to Seattle, where we’ll be for till Tuesday before driving down the coast to San Diego. While we’re here, we’ll head to the San Juans, where we’ll scatter my parents ashes (shout out to Team Dark-n-Twisted) and cheer on the Phils at T-Mobile Park.

Seattle is such a cool f’n city. We went to a baller sushi place last night which was across from Cal Anderson Park, where we watched folks playing basketball, a skate park, a couple matches of soccer, a man in a full-on suit playing dodgeball, and a belly dancer, all living their best lives.

It’s peachy peach season AND it’s Sunday, which means a special brunchy breakfast vibe. So, it’s peach cobbler scones. Sweet PA white peaches kissed with just a bit of cinnamon-sugar baked into the tenderest biscuit dough you ever ate. PEAK summer.

I was a little bummed I missed out on last night’s corntacular, BUT… we (along with 80,000 others) caught the Foo Fighters show at the Linc and holy WOW. I’ve seen them many times and they never disappoint.

Thank you, NBC, for noting this is in fact an American city. Too many people here pretend it isn't.
