The new Web Weekly is about to hit all inboxes. 🥂 This time, it includes a new `poster` element proposal, what happens when you import the same module multiple times, responsive iframes, and an explanation of the `vary` header. Enjoy! webweekly.email/archive/web-...

Do I have some followers / friends in Poland? I'd like to order something online, but the shop doesn't seem to ship to Germany. It's a big ask but if someone could order something for me and send it to Berlin I'd be grateful forever. 🫣

So, `example.com` got a redesign. People asked why and the VP of IANA replied that it was to save bandwidth. The new site now enriches the page with a single `s.js` file so that bots, curls, or whatever can save some bytes. Wild! https://www.oliverdunk.c...

What happens when you call `import('foo.js')` twice? The same modules are cached, but what if the first `import` fails and you want to try again? That used to be tricky, but turns out, there's a spec change rolling out as we speak. https://joanleon.dev/en/...

Weekly Baseline update: 1. The `alpha()` CSS function became Baseline newly available. 2. `Object.groupBy()` is now widely available.

After a decade at Cloudinary, I am looking work. I'm a web developer who's done a lot of devrel, too. I'm good at the front of the front end, great at browsers and standards and deeply understanding and explaining technical topics, and the stem of my T-shaped skills is: "images, on the internet".

I took a short break, but now it's Web Weekly time again! 🥂 I'm just about to write edition 200. 😱 If you're into WebDev, Frontend work, and browser "stuff", you should check it out. 👇 webweekly.email
