This fight isn't over! It's good that Rodneyse Bichotte Hermlyn is stepping down as the Brooklyn Dem. Party Chair, but her successor MUST be elected by the legitimate District Leaders elected in the June primary election!
Let us be clear: Brooklyn needs a fair vote by the elected District Leaders. The Chair attempting to pick her own successor after she lost an election isn’t democracy, it's cronyism, and the illegal rules changes she has fought to enact would permanently end democratic oversight of our party.
YES! The reform-minded coalition has WON its lawsuit against the Brooklyn Democratic Party's outgoing leader!!
A New York State Supreme Court judge ruled against Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn on Monday, declaring that outgoing executive committee members had “no authority” to vote on sweeping rule changes at a recent August meeting.

Hey, Brooklyn, big news! @newkingsdems.bsky.social are hosting a rally and press conference on Monday at 3 pm to oppose Bichotte-Hermelyn's undemocratic power grab to try to retain control of the Brooklyn Democratic Party! Come make a little noise! partiful.com/e/UzWY6FPbvD...

The Brooklyn Democratic Party chair has called a meeting for Tuesday so she can change the rules and overrule the results of a primary she and her allies didn’t win.
The Brooklyn Democratic Party is going to have new, reform-minded leadership! Congratulations to Julio Peña and the coalition of new District Leaders!!
Brooklyn is going to have a new Democratic Party. The Brooklyn Can’t Wait coalition of 22 incoming District Leaders have voted to nominate and elect District Leader @juliopenabk.com as Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair this coming September. 1/x
Please support this slate of District Leader candidates for desperately-needed reform within the Brooklyn Democratic party! Matching donations until March 26!!!
If you're able, please visit brooklyncantwait.com to donate! District Leader is an entirely unpaid volunteer position. These races may be hyperlocal but they can have a huge impact on the future of our party, and even small donations can make the difference!
TODAY IS THE DAY! Rank Brad Lander and Zohran Mamdani as #1 and #2. And DON'T RANK CUOMO at all!
