Absolutely losing it over this lady who appears to run a business of "lay on a massage bed as I stand over you with a horse nearby" DEEP EMOTIONAL THERAPY and advertises it with phrases like YOU CAN HIDE FROM A HUMAN. YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM A HORSE. AS PREY ANIMALS, HORSES READ TRUTH BEFORE WORDS.

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon. Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

One of the greatest line reads of all time. Tim Curry for Command And Conquer, clearly it was a one and done and he could barely stop laughing at the ridiculousness of the line. Perfection

Someone else can probably do a better job of it, but here's "Syrian Girl"'s meltdown video for Bluesky. Three pieces to fit the 1 min limit. 1/3..

This is actually something neat about how Tolkien, to my mind, understands and presents power and contests of power. Supernatural characters don't have don't have a static 'power level' like a D&D character and their strength often isn't show in straight fights.

Finished Robert Caro's Master of the Senate, book 3 of his biographical series on LBJ. My main takeaways are 1. LBJ's high degree of competence in ruling the titular body is matched only by his assholeary in personal matters

Reading the last pages of Master of the Senate, it is striking how the GOP in the late 50's recognized they had an opportunity to become competitive again with black voters if they and passed strong civil rights bills, and how the GOP leadership in general and Nixon in particular went all out.
