Working on something new in @sequoia.pub: support for @standard.site's site.standard.graph.recommend! Need to work out how best to re-auth for new OAuth scopes, but otherwise works similar to the Subscribe button I added a while back.

I've been absolutely swamped lately, but thanks to the atproto community, @sequoia.pub hasn't slowed down! Here's a quick rundown: A <sequoia-subscribe> web component that lets readers create a site.standard.graph.subscription record for your publication. Huge thanks to @heaths.dev for this!

The Bluesky outage reminded me how awful this format is for my mental health, so I’ll be logging off. - Will continue to build Sequoia, open issues on @tangled.org - If you want to contact me you can find methods on my website /links - Make a blog, send me your RSS

we can have this dream,,, and it can be even better than before !! our blogs can connect across many places like @pckt.blog, @offprint.app, or @leaflet.pub we can have more discoverability, more connection. we can make something social, organic, and exciting !!

Delighted to publish another guest post on the blog, this one from @stevedylan.dev about a journey he went on learning to index @standard.site records as efficiently as possible atproto.com/blog/indexin...

Thanks to the awesome atproto community advice, docs.surf lives to see another day! Was able to create a closed loop on Cloudflare and cut my usage to practically nothing. Should be stable for months to come!

Hate to say it, but I might need to stop my indexer for docs.surf. It’s. Fun little project, but the costs are slowly creeping upwards as standard.site continues to grow. Tap listening to every single record just eats up way too much egress.

A refactor might be in order using tangled.org/slices.netwo... Thanks for the heads up @goose.art!

You've gotta be BLOGMAXXING You've gotta be publishing one blog on @leaflet.pub and another blog on @pckt.blog and a third on @offprint.app and (you guessed it) why not *also* hook up the blog you already have with @standard.site using @sequoia.pub and sure go wild make another on @leaflet.pub and—

cooking up a slate of very fun blog posts - should I write them on @pckt.blog? @leaflet.pub? @offprint.app? My own blog? Wait!! Because of @standard.site, we don’t have to choose!!!

I’ve got a nice repeatable rust stack that lets me build basic crud apps in no time. Last week was a package tracker, this week is a notes app. Absolutely love building my own personal software

Woohoo! I made two contributions to this @sequoia.pub release ✌🏼 1. Added a feature where you can add a custom bskyPostRef to the front matter that gets published with your @standard.site record. It also removes the link from the post, leaving it as an attachment only. (1/4 🧵)

tangled.orgAdds option for custom bskyPost text rather than just title, desc, and url. Also removes url from post text to save graphemes. · stevedylan.dev/sequoia@501c7bdA CLI for publishing standard.site documents to ATProto
