Abdul El-Sayed talks about Bill Clinton and President Obama. He wanted to be a surgeon but got inspired for a different path. #VoteBlue 🌊

Astounding. In case you are following along with your "Who Is In Charge of Our Government?" scorecard, you can scratch off Donald J. Trump.

Watch my debate with Andy Barr tonight! Sip bourbon when he says “socialism,” “communism,” or “radical.” Sip vinegar when he explains how he’ll lower prices or pay for healthcare. Your bourbon will run out first. Please drink more responsibly than Andy Barr legislates!

I repeat: Ted Cruz is lying.

Tom Joscelyn@tomjoscelyn.bsky.social

This is a lie. Abdul El-Sayed clearly disavowed the Muslim Brotherhood before delivering a masterclass on the First Amendment and religious freedom - a constitutional rebuke of Tommy’s Christian nationalism. Sen. Ted Cruz is lying.

Read this entire thread! I am generally a fan of The Times (It’s the major paper I grew up reading), but I agree with Jacob’s assessment of the cautious—or is that “cowardly” framing of the Trump regime in much of the paper’s reporting.

🧵🧵🧵 The NY Times posted a 15-minute video today in which I got to tell NYT what’s wrong with its coverage. They said they saw my critical posts on Bluesky and invited me to do a video with them to air my grievances. Weird, right? I didn’t hold back. I blasted their sanewashing of MAGA extremism.

This is eye opening. And think about the reverse: recently passed bills that continue tax breaks for the most wealthy impose a proportionately higher burden on the average citizen. If a Republican tells you that Democrats will raise your taxes, give them a raspberry.

America is not a Christian nation or a Muslim nation. It’s a secular republic where freedom of religion means freedom for everyone, including the freedom to reject religion entirely. No religion gets to claim ownership of our government.

Can someone ask CBS News why Ted Koppel said that "Bannon's technically correct; they didn't have standing" in the 60+ cases Trump and his allies lost in 2020. This is verifiably false and is a GOP talking point. Many/most of the cases Trump lost were on the merits. Do they not fact check at CBS?

Bessent on Trump's deal with Putin: "Look, President Trump came into office to work for the American people, and this is good for the American people -- bringing these diesel prices down"

Imagine the National Park Service employees carrying out orders to TAKE DOWN almost 600 trees. We really are in Bizarro World.

FYI: The US currently exports roughly 6 million tons of diesel every month. Trump's decision to import 400,000 tons (a tiny fraction of US exports) will NOT impact diesel prices. All it will do is funnel billions to Putin that he can use to murder more civilians.

Steve O'Donnell reposted

Trump just announced that he is importing 400,000 tons of Russian diesel right away and up to 4,000,000 tons over the coming months. Every US$ going to Putin will be used to buy more missiles and drones to kill Ukrainian civilians. Trump's largess will lead to thousands of deaths. 1/2

"Honey, please ..." is the way I'm going to start asking for anything from now on. As in: — Honey, please, can I have another cup of coffee? — Honey, please, can you let me off with a warning this time? — Honey, please, you can look past a little bribe, can't you?

This! Part of teaching young men to have self-respect is teaching them to respect women and to acknowledge that women must have full control over their own bodies. Sex isn't something a man TAKES; it's something two people SHARE WILLINGLY or not at all.

Men,we must change the culture . This is not a political issue. It is a MALE issue. Too many men still think it is ok, and the abjudicated rapist in the White House does not help. This 11 year old study, and anecdotes going back decades on social media, confirm a prevalent toxic culture
