Ugh, Arc quickly became my favorite browser and now it’s being sunset to be replaced by Dia, an AI forward browser so bloated and gross that my plugged in battery full laptop died 9hrs after install. TBC had a great product and now one I can’t use, not won’t (still..) but can’t. So dumb.

In my quest for work, I've stumbled on the best part time gig ever and while I love that I may get to be a goat wrangler (in person trial on Wednesday), t's still not enough to pay bills. Also, hey adults.. Chapter 7, what do you know about it cause... yeah. Got a couple consults lined up tho.

Carly Rae Jeoson’s new album is so dang good. She’s my favorite pop princess so I’m a bit biased but the bass lines, the disco club bops, the sweet but still danceable, light, airy. It’s a joy to listen to her creations.

Plant mantenance day! Look at these guys! I got 5 African violet cuttings in May and this is where we are now! Going to get these pothos cuttings in dirt, repot the philo, and apparently vnca do great with water propagation so fingers crossed! Getting some catnip seeds started also.

Sadly, the nepenthes cutting I was gifted seems to be on t's way out. The hoya she gave me is doing alright though. I may go pick up an established nepenthes once I get this other greenhouse up but I don't think I've got the right conditions to really see them succeed. Ah well! Eventually!

My current gig is scanning photos for an archive and it's so fucking cool. It's all telecoms shit from the late 1800's to on average, the late 40's. I wish I could stream my screen so y'all could see the operator rooms and equipment and mobile stuff from the 40's. Pay is dogshit, vibes are great.

There's a bunch of very cool bugs in our yard. The short lived cicada killer couple, a few orb weavers, and then this guy.. he's a green lynx spider that's been hanging around for about a month now at least and I think he's pretty cool. He's almost always in his little spot there in the rose bush.

I’m late to the party but the past six months has been binging Last Meals and this is just dreamy excellent tv.

I did a lot today and my brain still thinks I need to do more? Yeah. I need a good hobby or games or in person friends or something else to do probably. I'm gonna go get this picture wire hung first though. 😅 Part of it is I know I'm not doing anything "productive" the rest of the week.

Weekends are my tidy, organize, decorate days. I do get enjoyment out of it though. I hung some art last weekend and every day it's a delight. I got plant cuttings going to fill more shelves and I found grow lights today for them. There's a peace in the process.

I want a job helpin' people do stuff. Like.. I use Sequence for banking and it's basically an automation router for finances. Example - I get paid, I have rules that 10% goes to savings out the gate, every week 25% goes towards rent, then my car insurance, then waterfalls down through all my bills..

It's very cool and legitimately the one budget/accounting tool that broke my habit of compulsively checking my bank account to see if I had enough to cover certain bills. But it's marketed for tech folks and folks familiar with automation routing. I love this shit. Holler if you want help set up.

I don't get paid for this, I've never had a referral go through, I don't give a shit about the company as a whole, I just really *really* like the product. And helping people do stuff that makes their life easier is my jam.

I cleaned the dryer vent and organized the laundry room. Please clap. Bedroom organize and tidy is next. Today is big ass reset day.

My reward for not throwing in the towel today? We got power back *and* I made some goddamn badass chicken wings. First time and the kiddos are already requesting round 2. Fuuuuck yeah. I need a bigger win 😅 but I appreciate this one so very much. Here they are pre-sauced.

Ugh because when it rains... a purchaser off Discogs is saying a record I sold has 'significant' damage to the outer and inner sleeves. I sold that with the damn cellophane still on the outer sleeve and only opened it to confirm the variant and take photos. Of course, it's PayPal so... can't win.

I do have some photos but not NEARLY enough. This is why I was so fucking hestant to sell shit online. Most people are cool, but one in ten just gotta try and fuck ya. Man, this is how I am paying rent. Please let a girl catch a goddamn break. 🫠

Going on nine hours without power which is fine… except my broke ass just restocked the fridge and freezer yesterday. 😭😭 This week is going to be a pantry staple shuffle I guess. I’m just sincerely hoping we get power while the frozen proteins are still safe. I can’t afford to lose those. 🫠

That being said, I will no shame post my Cashapp/Venmo of I have to toss the freezer restock because yeah… just glad I didn’t buy the $50 in Chuck roast (I can freeze them For later, that’s two fresh meals with three days of leftovers each!).

I am sick today and the dodgy fuckin' company I'm working for still can't get their QuickBooks figured out so it's paper personal checks again... except I'm not there so... holy fuck. (Note they're also hella illegally miscategorizing 1099 work so... it's par for the course.)

I would like to not do this terrible work for not great people but it's indoors with AC. Once the temps drop and it's not 105 outside I'll go back to package delivery. Pay's the same but it's mileage on my car. I keep putting applications out but I keep getting denied even entry level work.

Kiddo wore a ‘hot people hate ICE‘ shirt to school. Got a dress code violation. I’m asking for written explicit policy on why it’s a dress code violation since they told me that it didn’t cause a disruption but they didn’t want it to. So… is this my hill?
