It was 50 yrs ago that I attended the 200 anniversary of of the U.S. by picnicking along the Charles river in Boston. We listened to the Boston Pops led by Arthur Fiedler. I was a proud American then (also a Republican at the time). I will not celebrate this year. Not much to be proud of now.
