Costa have stopped doing the chicken and bacon toastie and replaced it with some Christmas nonsense in October. I swear this should have been the opening scene of Falling Down.

It’s been a bad day, please don’t take a picture… 🙂‍↔️ “Bad Day” was released as a single on October 14, 2003. Here’s the video directed by Tim Hope.

Went into Exeter town center for the first time in actual years to pick up a new Macbook and some US currency. Had to use Google Maps to find the Post Office. The big main one is gone. Turns out its now a booth in the back of a branch of soon-to-be-closed TG Jones.

That TG Jones used to be the "big Smiths" where everyone would get everything. Amstrad and Amiga games, music, magazines...I was in there every week. It used to be packed out. 30 minute checkout queue at Christmas, if you were lucky. I was the only person in there today. Sad times.

"You have to say that City have dealt with the situation immaculately well" says the Sky commentator. 0.04xG in the first half. One shot on target. Didn't look comfortable at all. Then the ref came in and gave them a hand by sending someone off for nothing and weirdly, they seemed to do better.

If you're using a GenAI thumbnail on YouTube, I'll click "Don't recommend channel." Every time. Your video could be offering the secret to everlasting life, and I'd still do it. If you can't be arsed to throw some text on a photo In Photoshop or whatever, then your video will undoubtedly be shit.

GO ON SONNY. THIS is why I made you my Future Stars evolution, lad.

86 | OOHHHHH SONNNNNYYYYYYY BOYYYY 🤩 George Birch plays a stunning ball through to Sonny leaving him through on goal, where he calmly strikes into the bottom left 💪 STFC 0-1 #ECFC | #OurWay

Playing FC27. Rules are...pack only. No money spent. Japanese/Korean team. (Bought an Exeter City evo team...I'm not opening 10,000 bronze packs to get them.) Got Rivaldo in a 7.5k pack this morning. Sold him. 600k. Blew it all on 7.5k packs and have so far ended up with this team.

Good stuff. It knows that that I "likely" live in Exeter. Probably from my account home address being in Exeter. I bought decaf one time. I've got 12 packs of caffeinated coffee pods being delivered TODAY from them. Yet I EXCLUSIVELY prefer decaf. And I detail cars, apparently. Who knew?

As funny as this can be, it's also sinister as hell.

Wow. I am aghast. You could knock me down with a feather. They make shirts for less than the price of a chain coffee, and sell them for £100. And all their ethics grandstanding is bullshit? Get outta town. Next you'll be telling me they lie about carbon emissions. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

bbc.co.ukPremier League football shirts made by workers on £1 an hourA BBC Sport investigation traces official football shirt production to factories in Cambodia where workers are paid less than £1 an hour.

When somebody walks down my otherwise silent street at 8am on a Sunday, holding their phone in front of their mouth and shouting down it because they don’t know how it works…I should be allowed to punch it right through their bastard teeth.

I love people. Dude on a non-business eBay account. 1300+ listings, selling multiple copies of the same item. In this case, one of multiple repro English copies of A-Train for the Mega Drive. All from his "private collection." Somehow thinks that means he doesn't need to pay tax.

Phone Barclaycard. No reset PIN option. Hangs up on me. Call back. Now I get a "Hear My PIN" option that I didn't get before. "I'm about to read you your PIN. Please hold." "I could not retrieve your PIN. Goodbye." Six attempts...I finally speak to a person and they're posting me a PIN. KTHXBAI.

Got a new phone. Logging into the Barclaycard app, it wants my card PIN that I have never, ever, ever used. Can only view it online using a username and account number that I have never, ever, ever set up or been given. Now two hours in to trying to get them to reset it.

Just woke up to my import tax bill. My neighbours heard me exclaim ‘SWEET BABY JESUS AND THE ORPHANS…HOW MUCH?!?!’ quite loudly at 7:30am. I might actually be turning into Brian Potter.

👹 Monster was released on this day in 1994. “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?,” “Bang and Blame,” “Strange Currencies,” “Crush With Eyeliner,” “Tongue” — and a run of music videos that makes this one especially fun to look back on. Share your favorite song in the comments…

Things my family are angry about today:- 1) There's no football on 2) Roy Keane being in a Sky mobile advert 3) There's nothing on at all 4) There are WSL and SWPL matches on, but they don't count (for some reason) 5) Roy Keane being in a different Sky mobile advert 6) There's no football on

God, I love DHL. Booked a box from Japan on Wednesday on their economy service at 9am. Picked up in Tokyo at 2pm. 10am Friday - out for delivery in Exeter. Not the box with all the Mega Drive stuff in it, but a 3DO and 100+ items of stock.

"I used AI en dun got Goldeneye playin on duh SNEZ" Yeah, but...fucking...WHY THO? The constant porting everything to fucking EVERYTHING was stupid enough already. JUST PLAY A FUCKING GAME.

The Westcountry Physio on the new series of Ted Lasso is SUPERB. “Hello? HR..oid loike to report moiself for ‘avin IMPURE THOUGHTS” The accent of my people should be on TV more.

I will not keep the OutRunners and OutRun 2019 on the Mega Drive that are coming in with the next stock delivery. I will not keep the OutRunners and OutRun 2019 on the Mega Drive that are coming in with the next stock delivery....

Cardiologist botched the paperwork yesterday and now my prescriptions are all over the show. GP receptionist says I don't need to speak to my GP though, so that's nice. I'll just take a stab at guessing the dosage for these pills that could stop my heart within 2 minutes, I suppose.

Got off the train at Cranbrook. Possibly the most hopeful station ever built. There’s fuck-all here. Train every two hours (maybe.) Thirty cars in the car park in the middle of a weekday. Yet the station is twice as long as my local, which serves Ikea, the Met Office and the Exeter Chiefs.

6am. Best get up. Cardiology check up this morning. Not at the biggest hospital in the county, which is two miles from my house. Or at the Nightingale hospital a mile away. Oh, no. We’re going to a tiny hospital 20 miles away, in a town I’ve never been to, that’s served by one train every two hours.

I don’t understand autographs. I just don’t get it. You can rarely tell who signed the thing. And so what if they did? Oh, yay. A person wrote on this thing that I have. Big fuckin’ whoop.

Finally got round to doing some sourcing. 251 items, including a 3DO for the test bench (don't have one), another Casio Loopy, a stack of Megadrive games (finally) and...other things. £1800 poorer, but that was fun. And now we wait.

Besieged with thousands of spam emails. Four different "police officers" calling claiming I've been a victim of cybercrime and asking if I have crypto assets. 2FAs from dozens of accounts I haven't requested. Guess its time to get a new email and phone number and start changing passwords.

Sky Sports now interviewing managers as they walk back to the bench after half time...holding them up to the point the match has kicked off...then STILL continuing to ask them more stupid questions. Not a big fan of that.

Ideas I had at 3am:- - Replace Siri with Kenneth Williams - Shoes with a built-in 10% gradient for fitness reasons - Infinity toast - A spoon made out of crispy bacon for eating peanut butter with The logistics of all of these are yet to be finalised.
