Donations are down. Costs are up. We’re operating at a growing monthly deficit which used to be annually resolved by our funding partners who have mostly vanished due to market changes. We need £5k ASAP just to pay a few invoices. Looking for a miracle here. protect.earth/act-now/gene...

There couldn't have been a better time to talk about what we, as designers and developers, can do to combat climate change. 👉 Watch Nick Lewis's digital sustainability talk, now free to watch on YouTube:

Another video from Pixel Pioneers Bristol 2026 has gone live! 🍿 youtu.be/dJcN1bGiPZQ In his talk on digital sustainability, @sustainable-dev.bsky.social explains how designers and developers can reduce the footprint of the products and services they create for clients. Watch it here: 👇

Web devs of Bluesky. The Green Web Foundation has just published a report on "The State of the Fossil-Free Internet" that is well worth reading. Qudos to @sustainable-dev.bsky.social for his dev work on the project. fossilfree.greenweb.org/2026/

Gosh. I really don't check in or post here.. Should I? Maybe. Maybe not. Is anyone still posting to these shortform platforms anymore..

Have you seen the low #Carbon showcase? I created lowwwcarbon.com to highlight examples of low-carbon web design and development. The showcase is a source of inspiration, research and reference for designers, developers or anyone interested in what a lower carbon web could look like.

So Bluesky crew, who has measured their #DigitalCarbonFootprint? If you have measured your digital carbon footprint, what did you find? What have you done since measuring to potentially reduce your footprint? I'd love to know!

Hello World. 👋 I'm now on Bluesky! I'm looking to connect with like-minded #green and #sustainable #digital folks. If that's you, let's follow!
