For weeks a group of WHITE tween boys on bikes/ebikes in North Hills spew racist comments at folks, run through businesses screaming and cursing, cornering and beating up other kids, weaving in and out of traffic and causing havoc. I got to deal w them last night. But let's charge for parking!

I think it's funny that the Lassiter district of North Hills has seen no growth in foot traffic since Lululemon moved to Main. But do tell us how we need paid parking with 2 empty restaurants with no future and Willa Kane's gallery delayed until January.

Republican pac giving up on whatley is just what u wanted to hear. So maybe I could stop getting incessant texts begging me for money for Cooper's campaign? 3 times a day for weeks is excessive.

Had a gynecological medical procedure last week. Polyp removal and endo ablation (burned layers of endometrium from inside the uterus). My level 10 pain was delivering my 9lb child unmedicated. Last week's pain far surpassed that. No pain meds given beyond Tylenol which didn't touch the pain.

the allowed amount of time since I received it before the procedure. I was not prepared for the level of pain I felt. No one warned me but I should have guessed given the way the nurse stressed the timing for taking Tylenol and ibuprofen. But I was exhausted, hadn't eaten in over 12 hours.

I should have been warned. I should have been given stronger pain meds. Had a biopsy in my uterus the week before- felt nothing. Dr shocked at my high pain tolerance. The cramping after was like the initial contractions of labor. Anyway- normalize real pain meds for gyn procedures.

I spent many hours hiding in my bedroom so my kids couldn't hear me moaning and trying to breathe through the pain. The procedure worked. I never bled. Still haven't. The pain was my uterus reacting to the trauma of being burned from the inside. I couldn't keep down ibuprofen when it had been

I successfully extricated myself so thoroughly from men's hockey I had no idea today is opening night for the canes. PWHL starts in December though.

First day of high school in carpool- got to watch a parent stop their car in the thru lane to have angry words with another parent in the road. Then my low tire pressure light comes on and I spill my coffee in my lap. Yay! Back to school!

Walking into WCPSS Lynn Road Elementary for meet the teacher and the HVAC issues remain the same as always. Parents, teachers and children dripping with sweat. It's a huge problem @samhershey.bsky.social. 50th anniversary of LRES not getting off to a good start.

Last year my PCP recommended a functional health doctor for my concerns, likely perimenopause. Not a particular dr just that she was going that route. A route that is not covered by insurance and is generally incredibly unaffordable. I think about that often. Why didn't she want to help me?

A customer came in last night and purchased a book I hadn't seen on our fiction shelves and I commented that I the cover was great. Y'all- the customer was the illustrator of the cover and it was their first time seeing the book in the wild!

Being at the beach with my little brother is fun. He sits next to me as I try to read and pretends to read my book aloud to me. Glad my mom's not here to see me thump him on the ear.

I might say this every other day but Partita by Barbara kingsolver is the best book of the year. I'm gonna keep reading to see if that holds, of course. Must do more research.

Two days after signing Cal Foote, Swedish team Färjestad BK has backed out of the agreement. The club says it heard concerns, disappointment and questions about the signing. Foote was acquitted of sexual assault charges last summer stemming from the 2018 Canadian world jr trial

I sometimes forget my kiddo can't see any red whatsoever. Our nextdoor neighbor's house is red. I referenced that and their response "their house is red? Really?" Gah - my bad.

Andy Beshear should say he spoke to Mitch for 20 minutes and Mitch told him to appoint someone else. Prove him wrong, Mitch. Prove him wrong.

Yesterday, WIRED learned that Madison Square Garden was suing us for our accurate reporting. We stand by our work. That’s why we’re removing the paywall from two of the MSG stories they don’t want you to read, making them free for everyone.

Replying to @wired.com

This month, we published another article revealing that MSG kept a database of VIP event attendees, labeling some of them as LGBTQIA and assigning a “risk score” to others. This is also now free to read:

wired.comMadison Square Garden Kept a List of Gay CelebritiesAn MSG database tracked and categorized hundreds of celebs, famous Knicks superfans, and even some of Taylor Swift’s wedding guests. Labels included “LGBTQIA,” “DO NOT HOST,” and low to high “risk.”

I remember late last year and even earlier this year Sharon McMahon and other historians and experts said not to worry about midterms. They were safe because there wasn't enough time to dismantle the election process by then. I thought that was short sighted but hoped they were right. Welp.

My family informed me that a very large black snake fell off our roof and onto our deck and disappeared. Let's not have snakes falling from above.

FYI -for all the N&O Best of Raleigh posts you see everywhere. Anyone can nominate- yay! BUT- all the nominees are offered the chance to pay for better visibility on the voting page to get their business more votes. You can pay for different levels of visibility. It's a money grab for the n&o.

Saw a post about hair stylists dealing with men jerking off under the cape while getting a haircut. Reminded me of a cowfish employee that stood right beside a woman in the mystery section and did the same. I walked up to him and stared at him with a raised eyebrow as I called security.

Security showed up too late. I gave security footage, description, and they decided they weren't going to address it because the restaurant said they couldn't be sure which employee it was. I could have picked him out in a line up. The woman left traumatized and nothing ever came of it.

This was in 2022 and when I learned that the property security really won't help. We only call them when we need help with a leak in the store or parking issues.
