i think i should be given 8 million usd to keep working on larpos tbh

doing math for a worldbuilding hobby i've started doing again and i really cannot get over how much better it feels to do math **handwritten** vs typed, even though typing it out is faster.

I need a little game I can play while between rounds of writing out some prose. Anyone have any suggestions?

all the vibe coded apps is really killing my atproto enthusiasm icl gang, do folks have some recommendations for Organic Free Range atproto apps they like?

I am absolutely right. ✅ I am genuinely useful. ✅ I am load-bearing. ✅ I am the crux of the issue. ✅ I am an important point. ✅ I am right to push back. ✅ I am dead-on with my instincts. ✅

If you want to be a better engineer, you need to take estrogen. Every 10x dev I know is on E. The mass Rust migration? E. Your favorite open source maintainer? On E. The girl using NixOS on a ThinkPad from 2012 who rewrote your entire infra in a weekend? On E. Stay competitive or get left behind.

I might move this account to tranquil

okay I can't help but think this is like super dystopian

i should post more on this account

if you’re pissed at systemd or whatever adding an “enter your DOB” prompt please blame the california legislature and the rise of other legislation about age verification

I’m thrilled to share that I’m officially building an ATProto PDS! 🚀 Diving deep into the future of decentralized social networking and data sovereignty. It’s all about empowering users and reimagining how we connect in the digital age. 🌐✨ Stay tuned for more updates! #BuildingInPublic #ATProto

heartbeat

first thing that's up is a really quick poll of the atproto peeps here. would y'all be interested in a useHooks-type package for React that's just a collection of useful hooks for making atproto apps in React? I think it'd be really helpful just cause i see a lot of repeated work being done

i think i'll start talking more about the stuff i'm getting up to here! a bunch of cool projects in the works, and maybe if we're lucky, I get to talk about @gmstn.systems and actually tell everyone what the hot stuff is about ^^

hi im on my dev account for the heartbeat again

additionally, I gotta start using this account more so that I don't have to introduce myself as "hi I'm selfcest"

so I have been convinced by fosdem to do a couple of things. 1) I will try to give a talk about something kinda cool either next year or the year after! 2) Gemstone is a product that will exist. I have never been more confident in it's existence and I will work even harder to push it to success.
