its always so lovely to see react flow projects pop up in the wild, x100000 when its atproto related 💕

Editing Cards & Connections: Small UI refresh to make them a little easier to understand and use.

rebecca has no business crediting me here, it was all her handiwork! 💕if you’re at @codebeam.bsky.social come find me and i have a couple to hand out ^.^

rebecca~@becca.monster

If you're at Code BEAM and are interested in Lustre at all, me and @hayleigh.dev got some pocket-sized MVU tutorials for you to take home!

whether or not ai is (in)directly to blame for this blunder, i'm becoming increasingly bullish on the idea that simply putting some care and consideration into the things you share is going to be such a differentiator as everyone lowers their standards in order to do more

Kevin Beaumont@doublepulsar.com

Well done to the person in charge of Surface for doing a presentation where Surface wasn’t spelled correctly.

jokes aside its genuinely incredible that even with only 20 repsonses, lustre is apparently notable enough to make it onto the results *at all*. im a little speechless!

this would go so hard, you know lustre would be making an appearance here

Michael Warren@michaelwarren.dev

What if there was a Web Components conference?? @stuffbreaker.bsky.social and I are teaming up to get a little more serious about the idea of getting one together. We want to gather data on if there is interest in the community forms.gle/ZGqtYGj7V6q8... Please fill out and share to anyone!

besides gleam/lustre stuff i want to dedicate more of my time exploring canvas interfaces, i think theres so much more there than what most folks are putting together currently

canvas interfaces are the future...

super surprised to see the speaker lineup for svelte summit later this year is 100% men?! sometimes i forget what tech is like outside my bubbles 😅

ux friends, does anyone have any resources (papers, studies, blog posts, talks, ...) exploring canvas interfaces, node base uis, that kind of thing... there's a wealth for visual programming but im struggling to find the same interest in other kinds of canvas apps/interfaces.

this is potentially a spicy take but i think i'm way more excited at the thought of a scrappy open web where apps are coming up with niche/specific lexicons vs a heavily standardised one where custom lexicons are discouraged in favour of maximal interop 🧐

I want to build a lexicon explorer: punch in the name of a lexicon and get a visualisation of all the lexicons it references, a bit like a database schema explorer. are there any features or info in particular folks would find cool or useful in an app like that 🤔

im super excited for this one, i think it’ll be a light bulb moment for some of the really cool things lustre can do

@hayleigh.dev, Gleam Core Team, will speak about using Lustre Server Components to drop traditional API layers like REST or gRPC at Code BEAM Europe 2026! Master the store pattern for full-stack apps. 📅 21-22 Oct | Haarlem, NL | In-person & Virtual  https://codebeameurope.com/#register

i spent so much time as a kid making stick figure animations, this has activated a sleeper agent deep within me

tldraw@tldraw.com

We’re launching tldraw flash, a new way to animate hand‑drawn ideas on the infinite canvas. Draw a shape, press record, then drag to perform the motion. Trim clips on the timeline, export, and remix.

atproto people, are there any ts libraries for fetching schemas at runtime. a bit like bluesky's `lex` tool but programmatic rather than a cli. i want to fetch and introspect lexicons to visualise them.

trying to find contract work is proving to be a real slog 😔

aly@aly.codes

insane how genuinely difficult it is to get job interviews at all rn. Like basically impossible.

all the vibe coded apps is really killing my atproto enthusiasm icl gang, do folks have some recommendations for Organic Free Range atproto apps they like?

bad news for anyone expecting me to be prepared enough to have a talk to give

hayleigh@hayleigh.dev

london gleamlins, come join us on the 18th of august for a meetup! @renatillas.dev will be talking to us about event sourcing, and i'll of course be preaching the good word about #atproto and maybe there'll be a little surprise launch too 🤭 luma.com/vacn20ag

why does every little atproto app being cooked up rn have to have a frontend Designed By Claude ™️ why are we so hyped about social data and an open internet and then turning to ai when its time to create and play

brain good

Cameron@cameron.stream

What's the best model you've found for doing technical writing/docs? Claude: garbage prose, impossible to work with Sol: extremely dense, says "It's not X, it's Y" in the second paragraph of every doc Gemini: kind of an idiot

i was *so* hyped when i saw this submission come in. this one is going to be really fun

Code BEAM@codebeam.bsky.social

Cara Superlativo & Ellyse Cedeno will speak about generating music natively on the BEAM in "Exploring Audio, Music, and Erlang" at Code BEAM Europe 2026. Talk: codebeameurope.com/trainings/gn... 📅 21-22 Oct | Haarlem, NL | In-person & Virtual codebeameurope.com#register

implementing atproto oauth got me dizzzyyy 😵‍💫 because gleam supports two targets with different concurrency methods the preferred approach is "sans-io" where the api doesnt perform async operations directly but instead exposes functions to construct requests, decode responses, etc...

this isn't the worst but for a multi-step flow like oauth its a little trickty to get something nice. then throw in the fact that all crypto in js is async and we're really fighting to get an api that feels nice to use 😭

i added a bunch of ai-related words to my mutelist and now all my feeds are fucking clanker accounts sprouting nonsense what bullshit is this

its always so fun to come across things built with @xyflow.com in the wild 💕doubly so when its atproto too ^.^

Ashlynne ⎔@ovyerus.com

been a little bit since i touched up my web app prismaliser.app, but inspiration finally hit me to do some refactoring, making everything work browser-side, moving away from next, AND: adding support for sharing schemas with #atproto!!

please nobody fill this out. some folks are suspicious that its from the dept of geography, but the suspicious part is there is no information sheet on who the researcher is or the purpose/use of the data collected. no ethics committee would allow this not least cambridge. please dont fill it out

nobody asked by here's my take on the lexicon discourse... schemas describe structure but they don't dictate semantics. you cant (and shouldnt) change that! its good and by design that records can be re-interpreted by other apps.

if your preferred semantics align with user expectations then users will use your thing! and when they dont align, or in the future when a user wants something new, they're free to seek out a different app that meets those needs built on the same data!
