The surest way to corrupt youth is to convince them to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.

I freaked out because I thought I saw a man in the women’s bathroom but it was just the mirror.

Word of the day is β€˜apanthropy’ (18th century): a dislike of company and the desire to be left alone.

If ever I encounter Dee Snider in the wild, I want to ask him how much Alice Cooper weighs.

I was walking through a store when I heard a voice behind me calling, β€œDee! Dee!” It’s always nice to meet a fan so I stop & say,β€œWhat’s up?” β€œI have to ask you a question,” he says. β€œYes?” I reply, expecting something @TwistedSisterNY related. β€œHow tall is Ace Freeley?” WTF!?

The deep goal of bluesky is to decentralize the social internet so that every individual controls their experience of it rather than having it be controlled by 5 random billionaires. Everyone thinks they signed up for a demuskified twitter...we actually signed an exciting and bizarre experiment.

In December of 1991 - 33 years ago - Ukrainians voted overwhelmingly (92%) for their independence. In the Donbass region, the pro-independence vote was 85% and in Crimea it was 54%. Turnout was 84%. Ukrainians chose to be free from Russia and Putin can't undo this vote with his military.

Striking workers aren't communists. They're refusing to be slaves by choosing not to participate in the system until it treats them fairly.

I noticed the shelves at my Woolies were a little bare today, so I asked one of the staff about it. "It's the warehouse strike," she said. I had no idea. She spoke a bit warily, I think, and sure enough some fart right behind me immediately launched into a tirade about the "f**king commie c**ts".
