Bonjour! I’m an American transplant to France (along with my dog Oreo) after living most of my life in California followed by a couple of brief stops in Oregon and the Chicago area. Love dogs, wine, travel, baseball and Broadway.

I mailed my overseas ballot from France on September 26--just over three weeks ago. I spoke with the election office in the US county where I'm registered and it hasn't been received yet. Fingers crossed it makes it before the deadline to be counted. I'll followup again in a couple of weeks.

Just learned those killed in school shooting in Bend were in a SPECIAL EDUCATION CLASSROOM. The event is horrific at its core but this makes it worse. Those children (& teacher) are/were dealing with their own issues let alone the confusion of such an event. I'm devastated. Enough is fucking enough!

Israeli firm spied on Al Jazeera--and, as I understand it, those who viewed their website--by having spyware download through ads that were simply DISPLAYED on the page. Viewers didn't have to click on the ad. This is highly disturbing. I didn't know this was possible. Presumably, we are all at risk

I've tried multiple times to make a purchase from a division of #CottonOn (#Typo) and have had my payment declined each time. I called my bank, and it's not their issue. I've used different cards. Each one was declined. WTH #CottonOn? You don't want my business. Fine. You won't get it. Well done /s

I was all set to follow someone on Instagram who does collage journaling. Then I saw a piece of paper from Hobby Lobby (their logo/ephemera) on one of their creations and changed my mind. Sigh.

I find it strange when people (on FB Marketplace, for example) insist on being paid in cash instead of by Zelle, which literally goes directly into your bank account. What am I missing?

Received message that said I needed to free up storage before the new iOS update could be installed on my iPhone. Strange. Have never received that message before. I looked and the update consists mostly of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. No thank you.

I’m a creature of habit and my dog is too. Almost every day, I make myself a sandwich for lunch. She knows what I’m about to do when I take the bread out and will start whining. I’m sure it’s prompted by the fact that I toss pieces of the crust to her while I eat. 😄🍞🥪🐶

I just finished reading Trump’s interview with/in Time magazine and… I know he’s a blubbering idiot, but since I can’t stomach listening to him, this is the first I’ve seen extended proof of that and, wow. Grandpa needs to be put in a home. Preferably in prison.

It was a nice end to my day. I got a text from my son‘s girlfriend about an accomplishment she had. It was so sweet that she reached out to me with that. And I heard from my other son that he accomplished something he didn’t think he could do. These are the best things. ♥️

Two young girls came to my door selling paintings and bead art. I only had $5 in cash to buy something. Coolest purchase ever. Art rules, kids rule.

Saw report that said far right party in Germany would rather have jobs go to AI than to immigrants. I don't know how people justify taking jobs from people who need income to live and take care of their families. It's devastating to see the (lack of) morality of half earth's population on display.
