Rewatched 'Alien' (1979). Really hard to grasp that this film will soon be 50 years old. Still absolutely outstanding, and really holds up. So ahead of its time, and so prescient with regards to AI and corporate immorality. Also, the black guy didn't die first! #SciFi #Horror #Movie #Film #Alien

If you judge #Carrie as a strict adaptation of the novel, I’m not sure how successful it is. If you look at both the novel and series as adaptations of the process by which a society is trained to carve off the emotional parts of themselves, this is a gutting success. Each howls in its own way.

basilmarinerchase.wordpress.comTo Mourn a World Once Promised — “Carrie”“Carrie” makes an enormous change from both the Stephen King novel and previous adaptations. There’s a very good reason why, and it’s part of what makes this new version feel like a mor…

The whole thing should never have been started. It's far more dangerous than splitting the atom. Nuclear weapons don't do things by themselves. Once we lose control, it's over. They need to pull the plug. On all of it. Now. Before it's too late... (and TOO LATE is coming TOO SOON!) #NoAI #AI
