Looks like I may as well go all in for posting art here; so here's some stuff I've done in the past while just to give an idea of what to expect here. Typically obscure video game and cartoon characters, mostly the former, with others OCs every now and again

One more sketch and I’ll meet my goal 👀 (I need it toward the hotel for Expo lol)

Sonic Revolution Online starts today! if you're interested I have sketch commissions open for the con this weekend only. I might open comms one more time this year so this is one of your last chances this year to get art from me! ko-fi.com/chibijenhen/...

Last day of Revo!! Get a sketch while you can! I probably won’t open again until late November/December but I’m not sure.

Gotta love when you pick up an older game and like rings in a tree you can tell EXACTLY what year it was developed/kickstarted

Two episodes into the new Golden Axe series... *deepest sigh* you know at least I was able to accurately key how much I was going to enjoy it. I think even dialing the snark to 50% from it's near constant 80% would make it more... tolerable...

You know what? Change of plans, I got something I need to do for a project. And I can make a stream of it. Give me a minute or twenty to make a quick supper and we'll get something going...

It’s been a long weekend and I realized I never even shared a picture of my half of the table. And I realize posting it, I’m covering the table sign x.x I’ll have to fix it tomorrow lmao

Not going to lie, I can't seem to get the gumption to stream tonight. I should be back tomorrow though with the usual group. Might instead do something tomorrow night or Monday instead

Anyone at NewYork ComicCon be sure to stop by and check out @chibijenhen.bsky.social , maybe get a print or two of their wonderful work!

Jennifer Hernandez@chibijenhen.bsky.social

I’m still drawing more stuff but tomorrow is the big day! I can’t believe it x.x I’ll be in Artist Alley table A07 with Tracy Yardley! all weekend! Stop by if you’ll be there!

Been playing a lot of Mystery Dungeon lately. I've been enjoying myself but damn if that Food system doesn't feel just a little arbitrary against your survivability some delves.

I think one of the biggest things that helped me overcome dealing with this is the realizations that I wasn't responsible for the other person's behavior. Their insecurities and mismanagement of their own outbursts aren't your puzzle to solve, especially if you're not the only target of their anger

I have come to a realization. If I can mostly manage my emotions without causing harm at 30, why couldn't they do the same for me when I was little? Does it go away because it hasnt happened as much in past 3 years? Did it even happen? Doesnt everyone get yelled at??? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANGER WELL

If I hadn't made my point about AI clear before, I think this sums it up quickly. If you're using AI to do the work for you it doesn't really make you an artist/programmer/composer/writer, you're only concerned about getting the end result and not participating in the craft of it

They quoted me in this New Yorker piece about AI today. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...

Also, brief update to my streaming schedule. Looking at other obligations I think I'll need to make some adjustments. Tomorrow afternoon we'll be looking at Shatterhand as part of the JaleCOlle series and we'll look at other titles of the line, and continuing The Room Four on Saturday

Found an unused Amazon gift card the other day, decided to gift myself with this kit. Honestly pretty surprised at even the D-Pad being pressable and all the other neat building tricks. Real Gameboy included for scale

I'd be lying if I said I'd seen his movies or was overly familiar with the actor, but this meme from God knows when has been a vocal stim for far too long for me

The B-Movie Vault@thebmovievault.bsky.social

R.I.P Richard Harrison, star of many, MANY ninja movies, and an equal number of memes.

Some local plans changed, so I might have some time to stream this afternoon. Going to pull some plans ahead and play the third game in The Room series which just dropped on Switch (maybe even do The Room Four depending on the time)

Pretty much a cut-down version of a meme I did a year ago, but I can still say these nine had some of the heaviest pivotal effects on my tastes in gaming and I could state the reasons for each one. #My9Games

The 7th Guest (PC) - What came with our first PC was one of the games responsible for the FMV boom of the mid 90s, but even as the earliest it was a technical marvel and though its gameplay was arguably paper thin the camp and atmosphere coalesce just as well as your favorite 80s VHS horror rental

Secret of Mana (SNES) - The yardstick me and my friend (unfairly) used to measure many other games of the era, it's multiplayer aspect only stood second to the soundtrack that like its story, was equal parts beautiful and haunting, comforting and ominous, abreast with wanderlust and menace.

Secret of Monkey Island (PC) - Reading about it first in a '89 gaming magazine I eventually borrowed a copy from my cousins several years later. If nothing else the excellent humor and friendly nature of the game play made that always made sure the player was always in on the joke

Chrono Trigger (SNES) - Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior were my most formative when it came to RPGs, so it's only natural that the collaboration of the minds who made those two seminal series would end up creating an amazing pillar that stands well and truly on its own at least in my mind.

Lufia II; Rise of the Sinistrals (SNES) - I went into this one slightly cynical, not expecting much from a company I never considered to be much for RPGs. It disarmed me almost immediately with it's likable cast and unforgettable ending that never fails to make me shed tears each time I see it.

Undertale (PC) - One who's effects cannot be overstated, if I was cynical about Lufia II, Undertale was faced by even more initial scrutiny by myself. But being not just emotionally devastating but also breaking many of the rules of engagement made it an experience I wouldn't change for the world

Dragon Warrior (NES) - Similar to Zelda it was another game that impressed me with it's large world, but also the denizens and the variety and personality of the monsters within. One of my fondest memories was playing this alongside my brother while visiting my cousins on vacation.

Mega Man 3 (NES) - My first NES that I received as a Christmas gift, alongside the GameGenie, I was able to plow to and through Wily's fortress in a single day. But the music and fun design of the stages and robot masters made me into the Mega Man fan I am today and one that I gladly revisit.

The Legend of Zelda (NES) - Growing up on the Atari 2600, the overworld of Zelda seemed vast and endless, playing it at a friend's place it wasn't until I got it for myself half a decade later was I able to reach its furthest depths and appreciate the rare openness of it's design (rare even today)

Just got back from my trip yesterday, want to see if I can spend the rest of my vacation getting some art done (he claims doomingly) Gotta wonder what Dr. Light was thinking with this upgrade though
