I’ve had a similar conversation. Only not with my son. Luckily he has been forced fed Trump hate since Trump was firing people for ratings on reality TV. Scarier still it’s with people who somewhat directly affect my distribution of pay. One of the reasons I’ve kept my work options open since 2016.

What a tribute! “In my Room” was so important to me growing up. It spoke of my first personal sanctuary. It was my first safe space to be alone and ok. It was filled with things I loved and was proud of and still is. I’ve come full circle and am actually staring at my “childhood room”. Still safe.

I count what 10-12 officers in frame and one civilian woman approaching law enforcement simply trying to get home. Not one officer could take charge and de-escalate the situation like a human being. Or are we all to assume she is a high danger individual. She was outnumbered 10 to 1 and he fired. 😖

Scares me when “tar and feathered” is used in jest in this political environment. When “tar and feathered” is joked about as punishment regarding people exercising their constitutional rights and it isn’t immediately condemned by the public. The next thing sent in jest just might be “strange fruit”.

Hard not to agree with that Seth. I just don’t understand the humanity in most humans anymore. Even if she is horrible enough to think this. Why post it unless you are trying to cash in on hate? I just can’t relate at all with a person like that.

I was indoctrinated into the Catholic Church and that journey almost ruined my possible faith journey. My parents were believers in their faith so this pisses me off for them. Is there ever a level of respect for anyone that is not actively making this man money? If there is a god he is watching.
