Call me an old man living in the past all you want, if a Spiderman movie doesn't end with needle dropping a hit single that serves as the epitome of the predominant rock genre at the moment, I don't want it.

Also, I just want to say that while I have been riding the "Wonderwall is overrated" bandwagon since sophomore year, minus a 2-3 month break when I thought a girl who loved Oasis might hook up with me, Don't Look Back in Anger is an absolute banger.

In America we like to think that the rest of the world so much more cultured than us, yet here is all of England celebrating their win by singing Wonderwall like every frat guy who struck out at 3AM for the last 30 years.

The Supreme Court has struck down an executive order issued by President Donald Trump attempting to end birthright citizenship for children of noncitizens. The ruling was one of the most anticipated of the year, and is the final ruling that the Court will release this term.

AI is creating an obsessive workaholic mentality in tech due to two related dynamics 1. Getting stuff done with tools like Claude Code creates a dopamine hit of feeling productive. It’s like TikTok but for work. 2. AI is “the next big thing” and everyone feels FOMO. Combined it leads to overwork

Look, I get and share a lot of privacy concerns over emerging technology, but if we don't have AI-powered cameras scanning for lice in every child-ridden facility in America within 10 years, what the hell are we even doing?

The funny thing though is that they're so pompous that the tool gets used by them to disprove their own point more often than not.

The 6 year old, who in just 8 1/2 months has made Huntr/x my most streamed artist since I opened my Spotify account, just said she's not into KPop Demon Hunters anymore.

We don’t reflect enough on how the revealed preference of the richest men in history, who can afford any material luxury or human experience, is often “being angry and resentful all the time.” Righteous grievance turns out to be the absolute pinnacle of Maslow’s pyramid. The ultimate luxury good

Honestly, I think we can trace most of our cultural failings back to liking country music becoming socially acceptable. We need to make it embarrassing for young people in the parts of the country that matter, besides Nashville, to enjoy it again!

So... a direct expansion of the program created under Biden which the Silicon Valley VC crowd led by Marc Andreessen declared a bigger tyranny that communism or fascism...

NIST's AI security center is partnering with Google, Microsoft, and xAI to evaluate their new AI models before deployment: www.nist.gov/news-events/... "To date, CAISI has completed more than 40 such evaluations, including on state-of-the-art models that remain unreleased."

At the end of the original run of The X-Files, the aliens are going to invade earth in a decade, but what's their plan for all of the ghosts and sewer monsters that are apparently all over the place? Do they get enslaved with the rest of us?

They say America loves a comeback story, but no one ever talks about the one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater breaking decades of retirement to do backing vocals on Bigmouth Strikes Again by The Smiths.

My favorite part of The Dead Zone is when Christopher Walken asks his doctor, who is fully aware that he's clairvoyant, if he would go back in time and kill Hitler if he could and the doctor has 0 follow-up questions as to why HE would be thinking of this hypothetical.

So Trump canceled all Green energy projects including paying $1Billion to cancel a contract wind power Mean time China moved into #1 car maker in world with their BYD car. Trump has put US automakers in the catch up position behind by years in technology. Shows what fossil fuel money can buy

Michael Clayton may seem like a downer ending, but what you don't see is that a Hollywood Exec ends up on the jury, is blown away by his charisma and command in sting operation audio, finds a picture showing him to be one of the most handsome men to walk the planet and immediately makes him a star.

I know we're supposed to hate the deep state pulling the strings style politics, but serious kudos to whomever made sure this Swalwell story got out right before the vote splitting ruined California.

I have no desire to watch Mama Mia, but I did see bits of it on someone else's screen on a plane. Best I can tell it's about 3 older women, 3 younger women and they all communicate solely through 1 of them saying something and the other 2 staring at her like she just said the wildest shit ever.

Screw Freakier Friday, Disney should have done a sequel to The Parent Trap where the whole family is in therapy dealing with the realization of just how batshit insane the parent's agreement was.

I'm not a political consultant but i feel like dems could probably get a lot of leverage out of pushing for green technologies that would wean the us off being dependent on oil in this particular moment
