WHY DO THINGS LIKE THIS KEEP POPPING UP ON MY TIMELINE? Seriously, I have rather traumatic memories involving princesses and bananas. I'd prefer not to be reminded of such things.

Discard the banana

Seeing so many people in Halloween costumes has me wishing I would've gotten more into cosplay during my con days. The closest I ever came was at Bronycon 2013 where i wore straws and sticks on my head a-la-Rarity and MADE IT WORK.

It's actually a funny story. It was someone else's cosplay. I saw it and told them how much I liked it. Then they gave it to me. At that point there was no way I could NOT wear it. 😁

I'm starting to wonder if all of this is my version of a mid life crisis. Some folks buy sports cars. I reminisce about doing sketch comedy in my 30s. I'm sure that's common for a lot of people, right?

This just triggered a memory: the pun wars Final Draft and I used to have. I remember a particularly intense one around the lunch table when a bunch of us went to NYC the day after Bronycon 2012. We were determined to outdo each other. That was so great.

I might be working on a new project soon the will require me to draw. I haven't seriously drawn anything in over a decade. These are wise words for both new artists, and old artists that are incredibly rusty.

The God of Bad Art gets offerings from all over the world, but in Their temple, They sometimes appear. "Why bad art?" I ask. "It is brave", the God replies. "To try and fail?" "No," the God chuckles. "Any creative work is a defiance of entropy, of Death itself. If you create, you do not fail."

And no, it has nothing to do with THE PROJECT or anything related to it. Been talking to an old college friend. We might be collaborating on something that will give me a new outlet for my silliness. I'm excited to see where it goes.

I've seen people compare this to Don Bluth, Labyrinth, Corpse Bride, LOTR... I REALLY hope I can catch this in the theater.

‘Big City Greens’ storyboard artist Gabi Rodea encourages parents to have their children see ‘Wildwood’ for its mature storytelling.

I'm really tempted to just block anyone who has the word "vibe" in any of their posts. There's only one main reason the word is used nowadays, and I don't like it.

I'm hoping to work more on THE PROJECT today. Also, after having had more time to think about it, I'm starting to realize how incredibly cheesy and cringe it is. So of course I can't wait to finish it. /)

Okay, seriously, I promise it really is a fun project that's just a tiny bit cringe and maybe a little bit more cheezy. ... say about 20% cheesier.

I really need to get myself some new shirts. I've lost a lot of weight since then. This thing hangs on me now like a circus tent.

3 Obama recently did a commercial for the Obama Presidential Center with Mark Hamill, who was on Batman The Animated Series with Tara Strong, whom I once interviewed while dressed as a rapper. I wish I was kidding.

To flip some discourse script for a bit: what’s y’all’s Obama number (ie degrees of separation with the former president)? Mine is 3

I'm excited! This is a fun show with a clever concept.

Gameoverse is GREENLIT FOR FULL PRODUCTION! The 8-episode season begins in May 2027

No longer needing to buy an atlas to plan a trip. Or needing to stop to ask for directions. Yes, I know GPS allows Big Brother to track our every move, but it's just so darn convenient.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Decided to watch a movie this evening: Ghostbusters Afterlife. There's a scene where one character hands another a USB drive. It's a Rainbow Dash USB drive. THEY'RE FOLLOWING ME.

To follow up, it had way way WAY too many callbacks to the original film. And this is coming from a huge GB fan who once constructed a proton pack out of cardboard for Halloween. Still a great movie.

Step 1 - Price everyone out of the game console market. Step 2 - Discontinue all physical game media. Step 3 - Offer time-limited cloud-based gaming as the only viable, affordable option moving forward. Step 4 - ???? Step 5 - Profit

When trying to reconcile issues in your past it can be helpful to remember that time heals all wounds. But there's also another possibility. Maybe there were never any wounds there in the first place and you just didn't realize it at the time.

Yes, because I've always wanted to think about video games the same way I do about parking meters.

To all who were also part of EFR back in the day: Google your handle & "Everfree Radio". See what Google AI (bah!) turns up. It's pretty funny and a total ego trip. "Prominent community figure", indeed. 😂 ...What? I can't be the only one who Googles their own name sometimes

You know, it's true when they say that you can never go home again. But, you can still visit occasionally and crash in your old bedroom. I've missed this.

Stopped at wawa this morning to get breakfast. No lie, the cashier asked me: "Would you like to put the banana in the bag?" Instinctively, my brain started screaming NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Today I reconnected with another old friend from back in the day. Feels great. THE PROJECT isn't just about the old days. It's also about the people I knew back then, and the friendships we had; friendships I wish I'd maintained.

Anyone remember the Simpsons ep w/ Frank Grimes? Had to fight tooth and nail for everything? That's how the past month has felt for me. Been hard finding time for THE PROJECT, which is low priority considering. But it is something i can look forward to, which helps. /)

Just got back from seeing Whalefall. Was expecting gross horror. Actually got a surprisingly poignant and inspiring film. Well, as much as a movie about being eaten by a whale can be, anyway.

Oh I did NOT just drive past the fricking ECTO-1 on my way back from the grocery store. 😲 Couldn't take a pic while driving so you'll all just have to trust me.

Revisiting old online haunts and discovering them to still be quite active feels both strange and wonderful. It's unexpected, but it's also nice to see that the flame still burns. /)

I suddenly have the crazy idea to write a parody of Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter called "A.I." A.IIIIIIII. Won't be writing any emails for me Tell me whyyyyyyy Folks get psych advice from ChatGPT

Thirteen years ago I actually gave an interview where I shared some words of wisdom about getting back up when you fall and continuing to run. Today, I'm finding myself needing to take my own advice. Thanks for the inspiration, past me.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm not "rejoining the herd" as it were (Though, like the mafia, does one ever truly get out once they're in? 😁) It's just that recent events have gotten me thinking along certain lines. ... certain EQUINE lines... /)
