You know what gets my goat about the "End of Service" for live-service games? EVERY. FUCKING. TIME. The reasons for ending the "service" is because of neglect and hostility on the developer's end. THEY do all the things that push players away.

I must be one of the only people not super excited about God Packs coming to MtG. Like, wow, there's a chance someone opens one in prerelease and either dominates with a huge advantage or eats shit on a dud pack. And WotC's "solution"? Give 'em one on the (lgs) house!

Finally the summer heat relented. Still mid-to-upper eighties during the day, but falling to mid-sixties at night is how I get an open window to sleep with... except tonight. Might be rain tonight and my computer sits under the window...

I am not here to debate the accuracy of this statement, merely to say that in Crank 2: High Voltage they got Jason Statham to wear a big rubber Jason Statham mask for a kaiju parody fight scene where he's stomping around like Godzilla, it's pure movie magic

So Twitch, owned by Amazon, is planning to train gen-AI on streams. Fucking GREAT, and YouTube's out of the question because THEY are probably planning the same, if not doing it already. Like, what even's the fucking point anymore?

Streaming's going to shit. Game design's going to shit. My DAY JOB is going to shit. Starting to seem like everywhere I turn to try to better myself, a door is slamming shut. Hope's getting mighty frail y'all.

So earlier this week, while shopping a Back-to-School seasonal section (LOVE Back-to-Shool season btw) and found this nifty LED light that plugs in and projects a kinda aurora-like effect over my ceiling. The last few nights since I've actually just sat in bed a few minutes watching it. Hypnotizing.

Tried Grand Concert. Didn't really live up to the hype. The scenario gimmick is hardly as complex as it was made out to be and it really wasn't a nightmare to run. Not bad though, it's nice to have something more focused on the concerts, though I wish it was more engaged on that end.
