I do wish chromium supported just a bit more of the page/print media spec... cross-references, page groups, and running headers would make my life so much easier...

Call me naïve, but I think the Web should be making it *easier* to create accessible UIs than inaccessible ones. Instead, once you go beyond the basic primitives, the platform is a minefield: the obvious thing to do is rarely accessible, and devs must jump through hoops to make it so.

Flock takes their privacy very seriously. But the ethical gray area in surveillance technology works both ways. Under no circumstances should elected officials or public servants enjoy an expectation of privacy when spending tax dollars to attend a surveillance lobbying event.

I was struggling to think of how I could get these two thicker areas of each wire as a handle-hint where one can grab to reroute. Two paths underneath the main (one reversed). borrowed from @kevinpowell.co stroke-dasharray: 45px calc(infinity * 1px); makes for a single constant-length dash

A few QoL updates: - A viewport control bar - better context menus - select all, cut, copy, and paste keyboard shortcuts - the ability to re-route links by dragging on a link near a socket.

i don't have a screenshot handy, but homest arrays, loops, and vector math are coming in the next version, plus some more cleanup.

coming soon (tm):

i just got the dreaded "our competitors are doing an AI thing, we need to do an AI thing" from my COO. Im beginning to feel like theres only so many times i can say "this is a REALLY bad idea" before I end up becoming a "not a team player"...

... yarp

@adamconover.net and i are texting each other just saying "holy shit" or things of that nature a lot lately and it's always about like, did you see g'kar just put on a hat in front of a picture of daffy duck

Another update - all about strings and text:

Rob@thatrobhuman.com

another update: PathLength, IntegerToEnum, and a Patch Panel to help organize wires. also toying around with styling sockets that arent connected a bit differently.

New version of Arcanigen is out. arcanigen.thatrobhuman.com added a Path Combine node (which is a consolidation of the existing path boolean nodes that were already there)

dare we hope for the trifecta? Ill also accept Ted Cruz keeling over as consolation, too

hey @cults3d.bsky.social what the hell? MGM does not own the english word "stargate" - they own the scifi-franchise that happens to have that word as a title... I'm totally on board with Copyright enforcement, but restricting *trademarked* words on *search* ? Are you Insane?!?

and just for clarity for any lookers on, because I'm getting comments elsewhere to similar effect: - yes, the *vast majority* of the models that would be returned by that search query are *COPYRIGHT* violations, and MGM is well within their rights to demand to take down, and Cults must comply

However, restricting a search because of a *Trademark* is a whole different thing, and my read it is not a thing that MGM can demand, and while Cults *can* restrict it of their own volition, it doesn't mean that they *should*.

@legaleagle.tv I don't know if this is an interesting enough story, but in case it is, my read is Cults3d is either suffering an overreach by MGM or is deciding to comply in advance. (and on an irksome note: comments elsewhere are already conflating copyright with trademark)

okay - so focusgroup as an html attribute... I love the idea, but I'm not gonna lie: the choice to sideline the entire grid piece makes me way less inclined to use it.

I get how useful it is for 1D lists, but if I have to write a parallel system for roving focus for grid, why would I then use a completely different mechanism for the 1D case - I would just write my 2D handler to handle the 1D case which just naturally falls out..

so, focusgroup is an enthusastic "yay" in principle for me, but until grid gets handled, it creates *more* effort for me to use rather than less.

hey @vivaldi.com Can you make it so that "sign in with google" popup that sites sometimes use doesn't steal window focus? It's really annoying that I can't use basic browser hotkeys like CTRL+T, CTRL+F4, or anything of the sort after landing on a site that summons that popup.

disabling the popup through my google account is not an option as sometimes it's useful - I just want it to stop getting in my way - it's an accessibility nightmare.

who on the chromium team can I bribe to round out the print-adjacent features like leading(), element(), running(), cross-references, string-set(), and footnotes/sidenotes?

okay next question: who on the #chromium team can I have look at a ticket I filed that was wrongly set to "Won't Fix" because someone misread it?
