This is so dangerous. We're putting ourselves in bondage to amoral people who are consolidating assets and systems that we used to live our lives.

Mike@mike-umbkm.bsky.social

A 'SpaceX' investor said he’s not only “disgusted…from a humanity perspective” (by restrictions on Starlink in Ukraine), but also because: “.….they've given everybody a reason not to use Starlink, that Starlink isn't reliable for national security for anybody but Trump.”

Didn't Trump recently announce that he didn't want housing prices to come down? He wanted people to make $ on their homes?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Sen. Dave McCormick on voters: "They need to understand that the fuel prices are the result of a very courageous decision by the president"

We are going to regret this for generations to come.

NOELREPORTS@noelreports.com

Zelensky told Piers Morgan that Ukraine feels betrayed and fears it is losing the US as a strong partner. “We are not selling our country. This is not business for us. This is our life, our country, our home, our children,” he said, adding that Ukraine cannot afford to be weak. #Ukraine

This is a man who survived 9/11 when nearly 700 of his 900 employees perished. And *this* is how he spends his life now. Unbelievable.

Lutnick: "The president has created the greatest trade deals in the history of economies, the history of the United States of America."

A couple of weeks ago some guy who owns a trucking co (I think) said something similar about leveling out NYC just so he could get his trucks back on the road bc fuel costs make it too $$ to run them. SMH

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

Not my president. Clearly, not a president for all Americans. “Let them (Iran) take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.” Then Trump called it a “small price to pay.” Millions of us dead. And his audience laughed. Reporting from my local news…

This is why mid-terms isn't going to fix this country. MAGA is elected, then Dems. Back & forth, back & forth. These people cannot think critically, believe anything Fox tells them & those profiting from this are going to keep on keeping on.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

"He's gonna fix it. Believe in him ... all the abortion, it's evil ... I want to see 2 people -- Trump & Jesus...we do not want Muslims taking over...I have horrible thoughts. I don't think they should be here. This isn't their country...they need to pack up & go back where they came from."

I call upon all of the forces of good within the Universe to please protect and heal our dear Strudel. He is an essential provider of peace, love and amusement in this world. We need him.

Kristina@wizardslizzard.bsky.social

The wee baby Strudel (our beloved cat) is going to the vet today cause his lip is swollen and he was throwing up all last night. Please send love and good wishes to The Baby. Everybody loves that baby. Everybody.

Agree, and would add that just plain smarts/talent at this point would be good. Lets toss in some integrity while we're at it.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Eric Schmitt is what happens when a state becomes so red that you don’t need to be a talented politician to become a US Senator. And to be fair, there are examples of this in blue states too. Iron sharpens iron.

I hope Becca and their children have the support and care they deserve at least. This is such a tragedy.

Erich Mees@erichmees.bsky.social

Today would be Renee Good's 38th birthday. Let's never forget that Renee & Becca Good were a loving, lovely, lovable couple who should have celebrated many birthdays together.

Echale!

🚨BREAKING: At least 550,000 voters registered or updated their registration last week, according to final tallies the nonpartisan nonprofit National Voter Registration Day shared exclusively with Democracy Docket Tuesday. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

I want people to remember this person the *SECOND* they think their vote "doesn't matter". Never pull a lever without understanding your candidate's platform, their character, & gaining some understanding of big issues (all sides). Your vote is privilege & a responsibility. Don't take it lightly.

Kelly@broadwaybabyto.bsky.social

It’s hard to admit when you’re wrong. Even harder when you were wrong about something that led to the death of your child. Renee Nicole Good’s Mom voted for Trump, and now she’s speaking out against him. Remember, what you allow to be done to others will eventually be done to you.

Louder.

𝕯𝖆𝖓🍂🎃🕸️@arepublic86.bsky.social

With Renee Good's mother's testimony today over how she voted for Donald, it's a good reminder that Jonathan Ross is still a free man after murdering Renee in cold blood and calling her a fucking bitch as her vehicle rolled to a stop and she bled out as ICE offered no assistance and kept assistance

It is so disheartening that no one cared that people are literally being unalived by their government, women can't control their own bodies, the leader of the US is an adjudicated schmex offender, and this administration & corporations are getting rich. Nope. It came down to gas prices.

The Ghost of Mark Twain@ghostofmarktwain.bsky.social

Remember, former Trump voters aren't abandoning Trump, they are walking away from the destruction their votes for Trump caused. Had things tuened out well (whatever that looks like) they would be loud supporters to this day. In 20 years these people will lie to their grandchildren about this.

I am not watching anything CBS owns/airs. Some of the stuff looks really good, so I'm bummed, but I just can't do it. The thing is, does it really make a difference? It seems too much to ask that a corporation or a rich person be good corporate/private citizens these days.....

Oliver Darcy@oliverdarcy.bsky.social

Bari Weiss has plunged CBS News into ratings calamity. —"Evening News" has posted worst ratings of 21st century —"CBS Mornings" has posted worst ratings of 21st century —And now "60 Minutes" has posted worst ratings of 21st century More in @status.news: www.status.news/p/60-minutes...

And this is why I stopped watching/supporting the NFL and college ball. Slap on the wrist coming in 1.....2.....

I think that people can work on themselves & evolve, take accountability, etc. But this was a bad, bad idea, esp. in today's climate. Read the room, people.

Bill Kristol@billkristolbulwark.bsky.social

“The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Max Hollein said, ‘The Met has no tolerance for antisemitism, racism or prejudice of any kind.” Ridiculous. It’s simply a fact that in choosing to honor John Galliano, the Met IS literally showing tolerance for antisemitism. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/28/s...

They will blame it on Democrats. Every thing that helps them will be denigrated. Look at how they hollered about ACA. "It's communism!". Now they're screaming because they can't afford that anymore, courtesy of the expiration of the credits the Dems put in place.

This morning, the Coldstream Guards at Buckingham Palace performed a tribute to Dolly Parton. The last time I remember the guards at the palace honoring the memory of an American entertainer was when they paid tribute to Aretha Franklin after she passed away.

Come on. Is anyone surprised?

Michael Cohen said before the last presidential election that if Donald Trump ever returned to the White House, he would change his name and flee the country. Two years later, he invited his old boss onto his radio show instead.

I shudder to think what will happen to this woman once this administration discards her and the media is through chewing her up. She's clearly ill. She needs help. It's all so ugly.

Jon Cooper@joncooper-us.bsky.social

New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman says that letters sent by Natalie Harp to Donald Trump “alarmed” the Secret Service. Some words leap off the page, with Harp, a former right-wing cable host, going as far as to say she is “unworthy” of the president.

With all the talent & resources at your disposal, one would think you'd turn your hand to solutions for world issues. The plastic crisis. Creating jobs by replacing old infrastructure w/ new, greener alternatives. Reducing homelessness. But no. PERVERT glasses. Yep. That's just what the world needs.
