Updating to add: I've seen mixed reports, some saying Capcom is ALSO using LLM/genAI alongside classical AI tools. To whatever extent they are using the LLM shit, absolutely fuck them, it is not welcome and mever will be. But we cannot let companies and reporters conflate the two!

That knowledge and those strategies remain incredibly valuable and are still accurately described as artificial intelligence in the regular sense. But other than that term, there is NO OVERLAP between respectable, classic AI tools and LLM-based garbage. None whatsoever.

Before Sam Altman and co created the Torment Nexus, "AI" referred to a collection of clever strategies for enabling computers to dynamically perform complex operations without immediate human input. All through ingenuity and hard work, by serious developers. None of it was inherently harmful.

This is bad journalism. It cannot be overstated how much harm has been caused by lumping "LLM driven toxic bullshit" in with the traditional understanding of AI as a computer science discipline. The tools and techniques described in this article have nothing to do with LLM-based systems.

1) This isn't about generating games or assets with AI, it's just about using automation tools for some processes like bug testing which isn't inherently bad 2) IGN should be embarrassed for this headline.
