I did send an inquiry if they could just look at the page, And see if it is fine for my poor eyes. Though with this sort of auto response. I assume all communications have been closed since they mandated ID harvesting.

I had a thought, And honestly I don't do that often. But how about instead of these monolithic AI models that can do everything, We focus more on mini modular models that are really good at a specific task? And then have like a good harness that allows for cross communication.

They also told me that I've never worked on a project with more than one page of code, Which I have no idea what that means. So I assumed it was a language barrier. But nope, They American. I think I got another larp software developer on my hands.

If you haven't already, I would highly recommend setting up like a little home lab. Not for anything serious, But like just get a few apps up on like a Raspberry Pi or something. So much fun, I got a Forgejo instance up. Which is like hella light btw.

I really need to work on my site again, Because what do you mean the GitLab link points to the GitLab home page instead of my profile 😭

Was watching the new Theo video and he was talking about how big the code base is in terms of fixing some of the issues with GitLab and he followed it with "You are not going to vibe code your way out of that one" 😭

Nobody steal this idea btw, I don't think it's original anyway. But if somebody tells me that I'm copying some voxel game that you do decide to make, We have the posts to prove otherwise 😌

If I was to do this though I wonder how I'd handle physics. Two methods that come to mind, first one is opt-in like how Aeronautics does it. Second one is opt-out using like an anchor crystal.

Meaning blocks not connected to the world (within a certain mass, I'm not that good of a dev) would have physics. But then using like anchor crystals you could lock blocks in place. Allowing for magical sky islands to still naturally spawn or for you to anchor your own build.

I definitely think this would be a indefinite dream game of mine. Like making my own Minecraft clone but instead of recreating Minecraft or classic Minecraft I'd try and recreate like all the mods Modpack or something.

The fact Roblox is pushing this without providing API's or a way to opt-out is a very Modern Roblox thing to do. #roblox #robloxdev

I think as a developer if you make an always online game, And have plans on shutting it down, You should take reasonable steps into making sure your game can be self hosted or playable offline.

I do have a bigger project planned for this little controller. But that is for a future data 🤫

Spent a decent chunk of today translating C code to gd script. Been a decent learning experience as someone who has not touched C, It feels a little uncanny and I wont be able to call it a success until I know jumping and crouching work.

Starter Kit: Racing for @godotengine.org is releasing next week! Open-source and great as a base for your racing game using my well-known sphere ball technique. It might be a little rough around the edges but I really want to finally release this ✨

Obviously nothing ground breaking, Plenty of Source in Godot projects exist. But I think that is what makes it an even greater learning experience because when shit hits the fun you know other people have had the same issue and somehow figured it out.

Big Tech alternatives are finally getting mainstream media attention! 🎉 The Guardian published a piece on how people can leave Big Tech behind & choose privacy-focused alternatives, a topic we’ve been passionate about at Tuta for a long time. 🙌🔐 Thank you to Steve Rose for mentioning us at Tuta!

Now, Should I have used my relatively average sized brain to figure it out (probably) but I didn't think I was gonna be sticking with Linux so I didn't want to dedicate too much time with tinkering. So I did enlist help from AI and Claude was probably the best at it.

It also has this weird sense of "teaching" rarely would it give me the exact answer, But instead preferred guiding me towards the answer. Which, Little bit annoying but at the same time certainly more valuable.

On top of that, I'd say that Claude is also pretty darn good. I never really used LLMs outside of when they first came out. But recently after a migration over to Linux I did have some problems.

The evil voices in my head are telling me to finish my Roblox game, So gonna throw all my morals and stranding on Roblox out of the window so I can shut those little freaks up.
