gerla.cc/mappy.html This is an AI assisted game, so it requires 1Mb of REU just to scroll the screen, which is proof that AI developers aren't real programmers. That said, it IS a really good Mappy port and it's the best AI assisted game I've seen so far.

Almost got scammed today being offered a rare(ish) C64 game. The scammers offer little information, but are willing to agree to anything you ask. They are always in a hurry and ask to tell them when payment has been done. I keep asking for photos and details. When they can't answer, they disappear.

I would just like to state, that last night my buddy Gie and I succcessfully completed our first Operations mission on Elite:Dangerous. We did the Biohazard Takedown mission. We died. Died again. Died once more, but never gave up. Proud as a peacock! www.elitedangerous.com/news/updates...

I'm saying that I like this, and I think there's some very clever programming going on here.

C64 #Delphian progress: here's a little WIP clip showing taking off from a planet, leaving orbit, accessing the navigation computer, plotting a course to a planet and using Stardrive to get there. A bit rough and still with more to add, but thought people might like a look.🙂

Today, after a tip, I made a Claude project, added the Programmer's Reference Guide (and others) as context and asked to generate C code for oscar64. There's so little room now to ask questions, I have to wait until 20:00. An upgrade is 200 dollars per year. I think I'd better do it myself.

cristiancubillos.itch.io/chromo-shock... Lord! A miracle has happened! Only last week this budding programmer released an AI assisted abomination and called it "Ultimate Shooter". A week later, here is the update. Like Robert Johnson himself, he mastered the art in only a few days. Or he's lying.

cristiancubillos.itch.ioChromo Shock Reloaded by cristiancubillosA fast-paced, unpretentious 8-bit space shooter for the Commodore 64. Hop in, pull the trigger!

Tried (again) to get Claude to help me program some C64 assembly. It is absolutely useless. It attempted to help me with some IRQ code. It hallucinated over 20 lines of code. Then I tried to make it code an 8 way soft scroll. No wonder it didn't get ANYWHERE. I'd be so busy prompting it's pointless.

I just unfollowed a Facebook group committed to language (English language, but ok). Post after post had mistakes like "it's size" where "its size" was meant. Or "phone charger's" where "chargers" was meant. If you are unable to comprehend the use of the apostrophe, than simply do not use it.

#LogLoads64 Comchinko A brand new, thoroughly inventive, fun and chaotic #C64 game from DMK. Similar to their (excellent, BTW) previous tower-defence game, scoring allows you to choose a game world modifier, drastically (eventually) altering how the game plays. Honestly - this game is SO MUCH FUN!

Elite:Dangerous has new exobiology: Radicoida Unica. Three known planets have it. When you land there, you are shifted in time. Proven by the shift of daylight before and after you land, and also the position of planets (like in sol) before and after you land. Bug or Feature? We don't know.

I have a Chromebook. ChromeOS on a device that is hardly more than a glorified phone with a keyboard. I discovered today that it can run Linux on a container. I'm running VSCode with Acme assembler and VICE now. Why did I not know this sooner? Very pleased :)

Not quite sure if I have always really understood this. But when you bank out the Kernal ROM on a Commodore 64 to copy in sprite data or a custom character set for instance, it is important to bank the ROM back in. An NMI might occur that calls a Kernal routine causing a crash.
