Digger, eh. Apparently we need to watch.

INFANTINO IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO RUN AGAIN FOR THE FIFA PRESIDENCY WE REALLY NEED TO KEEP BANGING ON ABOUT THIS BECAUSE IT IS THE SIMPLEST AND MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO UNSEAT HIM AND THE FACT NOBODY AT UEFA IS MAKING THIS ARGUMENT TELLS YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM fairsq.org/fairsquare-c...
Youbin Zheng at UofG frames traditional versus vertical farming. "The question is no longer whether vertical farming can grow food efficiently. The question is whether Ontario can afford not to invest." #VerticalFarming #FoodSecurity #AgriFoodCA #Ontario

How lessons from fisheries management could help us govern Earth’s orbital space
Something stinks.
The US exports beef while importing beef. Pears sail to Asia and back just to be packaged. Sounds insane, right? It's actually rational. That's the scary part. The system isn't broken, the prices are: nobody's paying for the carbon, water, or runoff. Guess who eventually will?
What if economic rules were changed so that local, fresh, and ethically produced food became the most affordable and accessible option for the majority?
I assume dynamic pricing will spread. May I also assume consumer apps will come online to inform where the "fair" prices remain?
Two weeks ago SPARK and Tathmeer announced a framework. Today Elevate Farms put numbers on it. 400 tonnes of leafy greens annually. 2,400m². 95% less water than field farming. That's not a press release. That's a project. #CEA #VerticalFarming #FoodSecurity #UAE

Biossil just raised $153M to find value in drug candidates that failed — not because the molecule was wrong, but because the trial design was. There's a version of that story in CEA. The science is proven. The commercialization model is what's still catching up. #CEA #FoodSecurity #AgriFoodCA
You can't solar-power a vertical farm with its own panels. The math inverts: lighting a stacked farm needs more land in solar than stacking ever saved. You threw away a free sun to manufacture a worse one. The fix isn't a bigger panel — it's needing fewer manufactured photons. #CEA #Solar
MENA's first integrated Agri-Tech Innovation Centre just launched in Sharjah. CEA, hydroponics, vertical farming, AI monitoring — tested under real conditions before commercial deployment. Proud to see our partners at Elevate Farms named as the vertical farming technology partner.
Arlene Dickinson just put $150M behind the argument she's been making all year. Velocity Agri-Capital. $25-50M equity investments. Canadian processors, producers, manufacturers, growers. Food sovereignty isn't just a slogan anymore. It's a term sheet. #FoodSovereignty #CdnAg #CEA #AgriFoodCA
"...understanding our past requires us to be honest about both the accomplishments and the failures of those who came before us."
Canada's engineers had a viable hybrid vehicle concept in 1974. The gap between solution and adoption is a political economy problem. I see the same pattern in CEA. The science is proven. The economics are improving. Yet adoption is fighting the same headwinds this memo ran into fifty years ago.
"I sure wish there were some way that, 20 years ago, more people could have seen, and cared about, what was coming. And today I wish that more people could see, and care about, what’s coming in the next 20 years and beyond." @climatehuman.bsky.social
Not sure what to do with this information. Invest? No. Roll my eyes at yet another bubble scheme? A little bit. Yeah. Regardless of what I do, powerful take by this guy and worth the minute or two to listen.
This was a good find this morning. "Nature's Last Dance" sounds like a very interesting read. I think I'll check it out. #environment #goodbooks
At this point in my social media tragetory there is very little chance I will start a trend by posting this.

The trade war with Canada makes no economic sense. And most Americans agree. Polling shows they see Canadians as close allies, oppose the tariffs against them, and are actually cheering on Canadian retaliation. https://youtu.be/h8Fvnl0l7_8

Alberta separatists dropped a 214-page independence plan. The cost? "Coming closer to the referendum." So: a framework of a deal, big number withheld, invoice to follow. We've seen this format. A plan for a plan is not a plan, it's just a vibe. #ableg #cdnpoli
