This month's movie: Pixar's UP.‼️ "THE FIRST 10 PAGES" is a 30-min podcast that dives into how your favorite stories unfold and has a lot of fun along the way (special guest GOOFY narrates the script this time!😄)... #ScriptSky #Scripting #movies #whattowatch

Made my own Audrey II art for the NEWEST pod's logo—I cover LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (it's the 40th anniversary!)...and discuss all of the WILD differences between the script & movie AND Frank Oz's incredible directing! 🎙️PodChaser link: tinyurl.com/47fzf4cu More links in alt text! PREVIEW coming!

Welp, then this surely shouldn't surprise anyone!

Drop some computers.... Speak 'n' Spell!... the original, with the RAISED round buttons! I loved this thing... but it DID have a built-in error: It would say, "Spell 'relief,'" and, obviously, I'd spell it R-O-L-A-I-D-S. And it would *mistakenly* tell me i was wrong! Wth! ('80s kids'll get it!😁)

So sad about Eric Bauza. He was the first one post Mel to just absolutely NAIL IT!! Also, fellow comics and cartoon fans -- famous for loving snacks, pizza, and not exercising -- umm...take care of your health, dudes.

Woah.

I was wrong about the below. There are TWO highlights in THE GOOD PLACE (which is mostly amazing but loses its way for a few episodes here and there & somehow KEEPS righting itself), and the 2nd highlight is THIS!...... D'Arcy Carden as...EVERYONE!...

If you see this post a skeleton...

Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Also, it wasn't p0rn for f*ck's sake, it was a web series -- "The Erotic Baking Challenge." It's only p0rn in the final round when the challenge is to eat the most cake...off the asses of former contestants. *SHEESH!!*

Post Your Horror Squad... But I don't know if they're bringing HORROR or *stopping* HORRORS...sooo, let's go with this group... All of whom do both.

BTW... It had to be said. TRICK 'R TREAT's somehow become a horror-fan fave, and it's just an absolute snoozefest. I'll take AHE's rampant misogyny and contextless fantasy over being bored any day! #Horror #HorrorFam #HorrorMovies #HalloweenMovies #Film

I dunno how people have time to watch 4 movies in a wk. Here's my 🎥🎬 #LastFourWatched — which is 2 short. And this is over the last 2 wks. I've still got MOTOR CITY rented & haven't even started it yet. 🤷‍♂️ #LetterboxdFriday Come find me @letterboxd.social — i need people to follow‼️: @Keith10Pages

This is actor Jack Lowden, apparently on the short list for possible James Bonds. I don't know his work, but he actually has a kind of Connery-esque look to him here. Anyone know his body of work? #JamesBond #Filmlife #Movies #DoubleOSeven

Variety discusses the dismissal of Netflix's film head, Dan Lin. In this clip from the piece, we get to see the power of an A-list (female!!) director: (Talk about a #FunPageFriday! 🤭)

#TopShelfFriday time 🎉 !! What's a comic in your collection you think deserves to be on the top shelf? Whether it's a key, rare, or just one you ❤️... It's the FINAL ISSUE of Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane -- issue #137, which i purchased in Aug. solely cuz I FREAKING LOVE THIS Bob Oksner COVER!

Wow. Clayface is getting some respectable reviews -- the trailer was not...particularly flattering. (It made it look like a bad straight-to-video B-movie.) Variety loved it, LA Times not so much. Most reviewers seem shocked that it was watchable. Have to admit, Slash Film's comment is my favorite:

Farewell to Tom Skerritt.

Real talk right here. Might I also add that the everyday use of sword and shield need to go? Making those part of her standard gear was an embarrassing failure of imagination, makes her more generic “strong female character trope” instead of leaning into what makes WW unique.

goddman Jack Davis!!! Love it.

My mom once walking thru an airport saw Laverne & Shirley dad (well, Laverne's) Phil Foster lugging his bags. This was at the show's PEAK. She said, "I thought big stars have people do that for them." And he replied, "Big stars do!"🤭🤣 She also once (accidentally) had dinner w/Hayden Christensen!

While the below IS a problem, what no one EVER talks about is the DISAPPEARANCE of innocent Jack-o-Lanterns‼️EVERY yr, 100s of pumpkins undergo painful surgeries to be smashingly FUN Jack-o-Lanterns🎃❕ Yet, by Nov. 2 they're GONE⁉️Not possible! Politicians & celebrated TV chefs should LOOK INTO THIS!😈

That Ghostly Haunts book is something to behold. Art by Tom Sutton (Sorry, don't know the art creds on the others.) #Halloween #ComicBooks

#Man-ThingMonday part 3 (of 3) These beautiful creepy & moody panels by Liam Sharp... written by none other than J.M. DeMatteis -- from their much-too-short-lived series! (The post below this is actually from a few months ago -- the other 2 Man-Thing Monday posts from today are in my TL.)

It's a bit late in the day, but what the heck -- #Man-ThingMonday‼️ (part 1!) Artist: Kyle Hotz #Marvel #Comics #ComicBooks #ComicsSky

And he NEVER directed anything else -- EVER! Never made an excellent film about 2 wannabe criminals, never made a film about a doofus from the North Pole, NEVER-EVER made a film about a guy finding himself through food or wrote a movie about 2 friends out in L.A. figuring their sh!t out.

Luke Cage, Power Man 34 🙂

A 1965 #Halloween episode of BEWITCHED... and this little girl, actually mother-in-law Endora in disguise (in the story), looked very familiar! Recognize her?

Woh.

Of the many stories of Sam Kieth in this Comics Journal retrospective on his career, this might be the best. Written by Andrew Farago. www.tcj.com/sam-kieth-ja...

Guys, I just came up with a TV series idea NO ONE has ever thought of!!: Protagonist gets into ALLL kinds of scrapes b/c of their job as cop/writer/PI/rando traveller, & their father—GET THIS—is *NOT* a con-man who abandoned them as a child until we're able to get a famous guest star to play him!!

Spider-Man by Tim Sale

Started another comic book; if you make a list of TROPES to avoid, PLEASE get it to this writer ASAP! It opens w/a flash-fwd of 2 heroes fighting, then we get the "3 weeks earlier," then a sad boy asks dad about life & dad recounts drama which ends w/a woman saying "Come w/me if you want to live."👁️🗡️

Turned on Catherine Zeta-Jones series KILL JACKIE. 2nd scene is Jones dressed pretty walking thru an art show. Her:"People get into art for 2 reasons—the love of the art or the money. You can guess which side I'm on." Umm...no, i can't, I DON'T KNOW U, it's the 2nd scene of the show! It's awful BTW.
