If we are constantly going to be at war in this country, can we at least shift to waging a war on ignorance, on poverty, on homelessness, on disease, on cruelty?

This time of rats fleeing the MAGA sinking ship is an opportunity to unite our divided electorate against corruption and special interest influence on BOTH parties. Campaign finance, transparency, and an end to Citizen's United must occur to have leaders represent the working class in this country.

The U.S. is crippled by corruption. It poisons us with grift, income inequality, and unchecked abuse of power. While the rest of the world advances we stagnate. While other countries fight climate change and invest in sustainable energy, we deny our own people medicine, wellness and prosperity.

Once the U.S.A. roots out toxic money that blocks politicians from serving their people, then we can: Form a broad coalition for socioeconomic improvement that’s sustainable for people and planet. We can prioritize prosperity for people rather than ensuring profit hoarding for the few.

After the Dems feckless, fruitless caving, It's clear if we want a responsive and representative government will need to root out corruption in the Dem party and fight encroaching facism at the same time. To dos: End donor class domination, anti-coruption, improve affordability, and M4All!

Wages for many workers have not kept up with inflation for decades, with real wages (adjusted for inflation) showing very little growth over the past 40–50 years. The capital engine of our economy isn't cash, it's people. So why does the avg CEO make 285 times what the median worker earns?

Mamdani quoted Indian PM Nehru's response to the end of 200 yrs under British rule "A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance." m.economictimes.com/news/india/w...

Trump's NSPM-T Memorandum brands opinions as terrorism. This thought policing conflates opinions with action, expands surveillance overreach, and weaponizes security into suppression of constitutionally guaranteed dissent and free speech. www.thefire.org/news/trumps-...

Attacking the credibility of information is the tactic of tyrants. Propaganda, ignorance, and sycophants coordinate to influence autocrats. Then troops are sent to Portland, OR, and Chicago, IL. An informed electorate is the antidote to tyranny. Photos: Antifa and the Horror of Portland-

Photos from a week and a half ago, showing anti-fascism (like our whole nation during World War 2) and the Horror of a bookstore and public transportation in peaceful, downtown Portland. We had a wonderful time in a welcoming and wonderful city.

Non-attachment is tricky. If I detach too much, I risk drifting. If I attach too much, I risk cracking. Pressure makes diamonds. It also makes ulcers. The trick is learning how to use pressure while keeping enough space to avoid being crushed by it.

Footprints on Mars? If humans ever land on Mars it will prove that aliens are real because humans would be the aliens! The call is coming from inside the house! We have met the enemy and he is us! (I took this photo at a nearby construction site. Thought it looked cool.)

If you as a parent, teacher, mentor or unknowing role model could give one lesson from your time on Earth to your child/student/observer, what would it be? I think mine would be: be as kind as you can to yourself and others while cultivating curiosity and exploring the world.
